10 runs to death altar through abyss with 50 pure essence each time, at 99 runecrafting:

Average: 66.6

Gross income per trip: 66.6 * 385 = 25,641

Compared to double nats: 100 * 230 = 23,000

 

So... death crafting is now more per trip than double nats. Of course that's not taking into account the time savings of the ghraak, but I'll have to look into that.

Yes the orb cannot utilise standard film-making panning and zooming which is scary really, it means we can't have as much "freedom" as a video-making tool should do.

I am hoping the chance to get double runes is actually high enough to make it worthwhile to switch. I think the age of nats is now over, people will move on to laws now, if it is worthwhile of course.

 

I wonder if this will affect assisting now, does anyone know if you get the chance of getting double runes while runecrafting using the assist system.

Double nats are still the best money until 99 then the new double laws,deaths,bloods is only about 2k gp more

Quest was short, but a nice break from grinding and I got a nice little pet aswell. :)

 

Im loving the Orb of Oculus. My most loved item at the moment. Couldnt have asked for anything better from it. 15/10 :thumbsup:

 

Friend trade limit is cool, nice little addition.

 

Double Laws, Deaths and Blood sounds nice aswell, even though its still impossible to get 100% double at 99.

 

I wouldnt get your hopes up for another update this week. The Orb pretty much made this update awesome imo.

Just crafted 500 pure essence in death runes to check how many extra runes you get (I'm lvl 75 runecrafting). Got 565 death runes. So that's (565-500)/500*100=13% more death runes. Not too bad, in my opinion. Wonder what the percentage is at higher levels.

For those stuck in the rooms.

 

 

 

 

Single dot = Move north

+ = Move in that direction until you hit a wall

Square = Move one space in that direction

Diagonal = Move in that direction until you hit a wall

Others = move in that pattern

 

To get to the exit make your way to the bottom left corner (south west) then move one square east and one square north. Then use the right portal and you'll be moved diagonally down one space, then use the north portal, the north portal again then once more and you're done.

 

So if it looks like this

etc. You'd want to go to B4 first (I'm sure there's more than 5 down though), then go through the east portal there which would take you to C5. Then just go through the north portals.
