SuperS
What does everyone think about the Rc updates, that is todays and the original one a few months back. I would have expected there to be more discussion about it. Anyhow, for me they strike me as stupid and not needed. Why fix something that isn't broken(well before the 1st update it wasn't) Rune prices are falling(long term), ess is rising (short term) for just the grand idea that Jagex have that you should get the reward for hours of hard working, before you actually do the hard work. 91 RC was always the reward of 100's of hours of hard work, I got 91 rc a week before the first update, after 5 years of hard work in getting there; so perhaps I feel more strongly in the issue. What's more the RC update isn't benefitting anyone and just discourages people more to RC, due to the falling rune prices, nats are now down to 225 gp ea, a 100gp fall in a few months, and dosen't look like stopping for a while yet, meanwhile essence has stayed at the same level, the money made from nats for a rcer below 91 before the update is nearly the same as to what it is now after the double runes update. They can fix this if they revert to before the first update, where rc was functioning normally, well that's my opinion anyway.
Misterknowitall
You don't get 2 deaths/laws/bloods per essence so it's a-okay
SuperS
You don't get 2 deaths/laws/bloods per essence so it's a-okay  Oh really? But still the idea remains the same, these runes will drop as the "double rate" is pretty similar as to what nats were, but of course at higher levels. Guthorm
What happened is runes will drop in price, thus making magic more viable. RCers will gain small amount of benefit for every level instead of a huge boost at a much higher level, I would say it makes sense this way. Yes I realize people with high rc are pretty much screwed over, but is for the greater good. [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Click for thread. We were screwed over on the last update when they let people have a chance to double nats and other runes, but no chance to double runes that were normally not double-able. It esentially made 91 RC a ceiling to RC's effectiveness, rather than a reward. With this update there is actually now a point to having a high RC level. Guthorm
Oops, I have used that response way too much at the last update now is implemented in my memory. But yes this update does helps high level rc, by a decent amount too as it seems. [Guild Wars 2-In game screenshot, the MMORPG you are waiting for. Click for thread. Mike_Ike111
Isn't lower Runes prices a better thing. Shouldn't it be Jagex' goal to bring combat runes prices down enough so that magic is actually worthwhile in PvM?
mister_moocky
Cheaper combat runes, purpose for 99 rc, perhaps more profit for 99 runecrafters as opposed to double natues. Duno how anyone could have a problem with it. quit
sees_all1
Is runecrafting the biggest source of runes in game? For natures, yes, for others, no. Which is to say that while some runes may decrease in price, runecrafters will not see a significant (if any) drop in their profits, and the majority will see a slim increase in profits. Overall, I think the update was a good thing. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
langer
Cheaper runes = everyone benefits. Great update even though it should have been implemented at the same time as the first one. Great thing that Jagex actually take into account what the playerbase thinks. Jon Arcane
Although more testing needs to be done it sort of works out beneficial. At 91 runecrafting it is still more profitable for me to do double nats then to attempt to make deaths however, get a few more levels under my belt and it could shift to being a better source of income. So it has worked to be beneficial to higher level runecrafters and gives people an incentive to keep on training after 91. Might not necessarily be a huge increase in profit but hey every little helps, and although Pure Essence prices are gonna rise a bit they should eventually calm down and things should get a little more profitable again. Obtaurian
I made a thread about this on the RSOF the day the BA changes came out. It was my fault, and I'm not sorry. We can dream... To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
