But with spirit shields being trade with and for 3rd age there is alot of 3rd age entering the open market making it seem like an increase in supply. Once the regular players have their 3rd age the demand will go way down and merchants are turning to partyhats now because they rise everyday unlike 3rd age and it's once a week or two pattern. Now with only two spirit shields left that are very high street value merchants will try to buy those up as their next item. Well how do you get a very high priced item via trade? You trade more high priced items for it. People are paying 2B in 3rd age for a 1B item smells like a crash to me. The people who trade elysian and divine ss's go and sell the 3rd age for max to get a way better profit than if they sold the shield for max. More 3rd age out of players banks + more 3rd age from clues + very high priced uneconomical item = Crash it's simple. I just went with my gut feeling and sold it sure I could lose 15M or so but the cash could go to much better use. My plan was to trade around a bit and try to maximize the trade value of my 3rd age - I traded the plate for range top and bottom and mage hat, then accidentally sold my legs in the ge when putting those up, so I lost out on like 7m (guessing I could've converted the legs into roughly 200m trade price in 3rd) Still, considering that I bought the 3a legs on the ge for almost exactly 50m less than I sold them for, I'd say it was a pretty good deal. [hide=3rd age legs buying ,in case anyone's interested][/hide] Legends quest completed at lvl 47 on X Legendre X#3056 to 99 firemaking, achieved on July 4th, 2007.Tied for #1854 to 99 farming, achieved on September 3rd, 2008. I believe it is real. Because I know he is a very rich merchanter. I don't see a point to prove it to you but I just wanted to ask you that question that you will probably not answer. All these posts of people selling 3a, looks like 3s is really going to drop. :o Don't know why I really care since I'm F2p. :P But yeah it's fun to follow the evolution of the price of expensive items. (He's had other nice pics on Tif actually, not many recently though lol) As for all this 3a stuff, the markets getting closer to crashing, and partyhats are really up. I sold my 3a 2 days ago. Made a trade of Vambs + Santa and cash for a purp (Hats ftw), 2 days later (today), I was offered a Mage hat + Cash for it by the same guy... Just kinda shows something (No way I'd take it, even though that would be a decent 3a upgrade and a nice profit from price updates as well) I've also seen a few helm offers on low hats, and even a kite offer or 2 on reds.. so the market is changing pretty well. Partyhats should ease soon though, unless they somehow become the next insanely rare thing to have (Cmon, It would be nice to have all items pretty even with their market :wall: ) All in all lately the market is pretty interesting to watch. the trick is to balance all of these methods to get 99 and either play real life or train another skill while farming. 635th to 99 Farming 12/16/07 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
