Death123141
I'm getting really interested in getting a fire cape I've been doing research and will probably go with guthans/armadyls and either a rune cbow with either emerald or diamonds bolts or karils bow or would straight ranging be easier, do you have to safe spot or can you just range everything? I have a little bit over 100m and I'm willing to use pretty much all of it to obtain a fire cape.
i_r_slayer
Straight range. Use karil's all the way. Start using range pots once the 360s come out and repot every 8 minutes. On jad pray mage until you see his ranged animation, then switch to mage when it is about to hit you. The ranged animation is stupidly easy to see, the mage one is rather tricky. Attack all the healers, if there is a suitable spot to run out of line of sight from jad, get them all away from jad and kill them, make sure jad isn't full hp before you finish them off. If there isn't a good spot to utilize this trick, attack them all and make sure they are very far away from jad, try to line them up so only one is attacking you but with 99 defence it wont be a big deal. You should have enough supplies to leave steel skin prayer on, especially if you use karil's bow and have a soul wars cape. Safespot everything. Kill the 22's first, shoot and run away from them at the same time. If you want to move quick, don't waste attack turns, attack whatever is in sight and run around looking for priority targets at the same time. When there are 90s present you can tank them until ee spec is down then you might as well pray range real quick. For the 180s shoot, run, shoot run, lure them to a safespot (see muggi's guide for safespots). For 180 + 90 or 360 you can run deep into a safespot to lure them close. Here is a quick picture example, credits to muggiwhplar on the picture. [hide][/hide] The same idea can be applied to a level 360, move deep into the safespot, wait a few seconds, then move up and attack the 90/360 that should now be standing right behind the level 180. This isn't the most ideal lure, its better to sneak into the safespot next to the 360 spawn before the 180 comes into the picture but that doesn't always work out. Bladewing
Dhide > Karils. You'll be praying magic, so you want to maximize ranged defense. Dhide has higher ranged defense. How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
i_r_slayer
Dhide > Karils. You'll be praying magic, so you want to maximize ranged defense. Dhide has higher ranged defense. That's a pretty common misconception. Despite having worse melee def, karil's top and bottom each have +2 more ranged defence than black d'hide. If you're willing to buy armadyl, go for it. If you don't want to buy armadyl and have karil's, use karil's. If you don't have either of them then simply use black d'hide and don't go out of the way to pick up karil's. Its more about your ability to prayer switch and watch for his attacks. Thats how people can go and kill him using noob equipment because they now how to prayer switch and not take much damage from it. krimi
Cptbaker08 nailed it on the head. Also, I thought it was Armadyl>black dhide=karil's in terms of range attack bonus.
