muggiwhplar Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 It goes from talking about SEXINESS to talking about BEAUTY (two completely different things), while still treating them as if they're both the same exact thing It suggests that you should model yourself after a woman from over half a century ago who is much less attractive than modern sex symbols (how many men do you know that have posters of Marilyn Monroe as opposed to someone like Kim Kardashian) It shows off Marilyn's body and describes how she is sexy/beautiful because of it... But then goes on to say that ALL women are JUST AS BEAUTIFUL/SEXY as Marilyn if they are CONFIDENT. As if appearance plays no role in determining how attractive you are, and as if confidence can actually give a man a boner Ultimately, any woman who takes that picture to heart is only going to make life harder on herself down the road. nine naked men Posted May 23, 2014 Share Posted May 23, 2014 yeah nah, it's v. clear in what it suggests. it doesn't say confidence is sexy, it says "hey be confident, look here's somebody who is attractive tho they don't exactly conform to the image of what's promoted in the media, you most likely don't fit the bill either but it's nbd". it doesn't say they are marilyn, it says they are a marilyn, i.e the definition i just wrote. and sure, the message might be harmful to over overweight people who certainly could stand to improve their lifestyle to get healthier and stuff, but a chick w/self-image issues or anorexia or whatever? hard to see how that cuold be harmful to them also lol i just noticed they wrote perky books instead of boobs. this is def a worthwhile image macro hill for me to die on sleep like dead men wake up like dead men Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
