Things that annoy the HELL out of you.

people who are very outspoken about a topic and not at all willing to consider other viewpoints. Even worse, they usually don't know a thing about the topic in question.

Reminds me of most religious people I know.

The irony.

How is something that is said by a user which happens to remind me of people who have ruined my childhood "ironic"? Please, feel free to be an ass even more.

It's ironic because you appear to be very outspoken yourself, judging by the first (and that) remark. I also typically find that most outspoken atheists are also unwilling to consider a theist's viewpoint and don't know a lot about the religion they're criticizing, too (though I admit some aren't like that and I don't really know you, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there).

Sorry if I touched a sore-spot; you never mentioned that it "ruined your childhood" in your original point. No hard feelings were meant, it just bothers me when atheists* are outspoken against theists and get mad when theists express their own views.

* I'm atheist too, I usually don't discuss it, though.

When people ask you for your honest opinion, so you give them negative critism and they get upset and act like you're a jerk. Don't ask for the truth if you can't handle it princess.

One thing that irritates me more than other things is how someone will feel all sad and upset about a tragedy for 2 weeks and forget about it totally. Take Kony, Haiti, and any foreign mass killing event for example.

To be clear, is it the perception that people are choosing to be this way that annoys you, or are you legitimately annoyed that this is the way beings of our species work?

People who are annoyed at human nature itself are fine. We should try to better ourselves I think. People that are annoyed at other people for being human annoy me. It's like being annoyed at someone for being gay. Your mad about something that is out of their control.

In that particular case, it would be the person's choice to remain ignorant that annoyed me.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

I love it when every topic on here invariably devolves to religion-bashing every few weeks.

Not bashing any religion here. :P Just bashing the bashing of religions, I suppose.

Meta-bashing? Dunno.

When people think they can just solve every argument by mentioning Goku.

Yeah, but Goku is the strongest...

If you can't perform your strongest attack between commercial breaks then you ain't the strongest.

I dunno, I've seen plenty of JRPG attacks that went on for longer.

Granted, one of them was the character doing all of the other strongest attacks one after another, but it still counts.

Let's be real here. The strongest characters are the ones who reached god status.

But crossing series is almost always a bad idea in my opinions. Comparing a character whose Universe has villains who can blow up planets on a whim and a character whose foes are normal guys with knives isn't even close to reasonable.

I really [bleep]ing hate it when my parents side with my brothers on something with a principle, specially if it is just easier for them to do so...

Case in point: this evening my brother wanted me to print 12 words of a poem in Russian, only because he was too lazy to write it in his notebook. I am like come on, it is like 10 [bleep]ing words, you can write it in your notebook, you can't be that lazy. Now my family is a bit weird, specially us kids and he started attacking me, for getting me to print it. Having lived with them younger brothers all my life, I know all sorts of painful maneuvres and moves and simply by phyisically picking him up and carrying out of my room got rid of him. For one minute. Then he comes and charges at me again, threatening to break my headphones or computer or whatever if I don't print it. I took it as a principle not to allow that printing, cause one cannot be that lazy and carried him out again. Aaaand he charges again. This time, took the iron that you use to move burning logs around in a fireplace and hit me once slightly in my balls. Still hurt me a lot. I twist it out of his hands, push him against my bed with my elbow on his head and take the iron again, carry him out again. Parents start to wake up now...

And he charges again. And so twice. And by then, parents wake up and shout at me to print the [bleep]ing 10 words to get rid of that racket.

[bleep] them. And I had to print it.

And they wonder why me brothers' don't like to listen to them.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

^I consider myself extremely easy going, but if a guy hit me in the nads with an iron poker I'm pretty sure I'd break his arm.

Seriously, that's incredible restraint to not just start beating him with the poker. And your parents sound like they don't know how to parent.

It took me awhile to comprehend such a situation, especially given your brother physically attacked you with an iron poker over a poem. I am really impressed with your ability to restrain yourself in that situation since I tend to go berserk when physically defending myself. Sucks your brother ended up as the winner of the whole thing just because of total bullcrap and the only thing you get is physical pain and doing someone else's work.

Well, I have had to show self-constrait nearly all my life, since my parents mostly don't side with me... Our age difference is 3 years with this brother and I have simply been that much bigger and stronger physically. And as I said, he nearly missed and it wasn't too painful. And as a member of a 3-boy family I have grown used to this fighting and stuff. It has been happening nearly all my life and so I don't feel bothered about it.

Dio Brando would like to call BS on that.

[/hide]A quick google search on Dio Brando tells me that he has lost fights, and judging that's he's a vampire that makes me assume he fights some enemies far more powerful than average humans.Regardless, my point still stands that trying to compare Superman with, say, GI Joe in terms of strength is just dumb because both have entirely different challenges facing them. Also, putting Goku in a different series that has less powerful characters would be boring as heck because "Goku beats the shit out of everything with minimal effort" isn't exactly an engaging plot.
