Back in my day...

Back in my day, we didn't have any fancy-schmancy whips or slayer or fishing. We had good old-fashioned woodcutting, and lots of it! There we burning logs, far-as the eye can see, with no such things as "noobs", but mere fellows looking to see how much shrimp he could cook and not burn in one go!

Now tell me, young whippersnappers, what can YOU recollect from your old days?

Back in my day, I didn't stand at the Grand Exchange with every random moron in the world asking "can i barrow ur gs plz". I miss those days...

Back in my day, there wasn't a thing such as a "Grand Exchange". We had to spam SMD in every bank in Falador, Varrock, and Lumbridge to

No cook-x. Was introduced about about a week after I started playing.

Most memorable for me was the week or so after the camo set was introduced when it was tradeable. I was lucky enough to get a hat, I sold it for ~180k and bought my first rune set. Sometimes I miss W2 Varrock/Fally...

If you want to go that far back, I started playing in 2003 or 2004 :P

Didn't really enjoy those days, though... Damn, I was a n00b....

Back in my day, you could always earn profit for putting time and effort in... Combining items to make stuff always gave the ability to gain lots of gp... :^_^:

Back in my day, you could always meet someone's needs and gain gp wherever you went... The trade limits and Grand Exchange have ruined this. <_<

Back in my day, the middle mouse button actually worked in RuneScape as a 2nd left button, and it was extremely nice to have. If anyone here wants it back, come support at both this TIF Thread and this RSOF thread in order to get the point across to Jagex about this nifty little feature the RuneScape Applet used to have. :geek:

There's more, but I can't think of it right now.

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy shmancy updates. We had to play the same old content, and the same old bugs, then when we couldn't stand it anymore, we walked five miles in the sun, downhill, both ways, to buy a "new" game at the smelly ol' flea mart.

Back in my day we didn't have people bragging about how long they played.

Exactly. Here I am wondering why people enjoy telling how long they've played for, when most likely they haven't even been playing that long >_>

Back in my days scammers sold charcoals for millions.

Also, dragons looked like cows, and demons like goats.

Quests just keep bringing me back to this game.
