Kill_Life
Hello, I've read about a device somewhere, but can't remember what it is.It's something which you can link on your tv and where you can put an USB-stick or something like that in, which then allows you to watch movies and such on your tv.So basically, I'm looking for a device which allows me to see movies on the tv, which are currently on my computer. Can anyone help me with the name of that? Thank you very much :) "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]

DarkDude
So basically you want a way to play videos etc. that are on your PC on your TV? There's multiple ways to do that and I'm not really sure which one you're referring to. What type of TV have you got? What inputs does it have? There's a lot of options, for example some DVD/Bluray players can support such a thing, either via ethernet or some even have a USB port. Media Centre/Home Theatre PCs are other options. The Xbox 360 and PS3 both have video streaming from PCs over the network which is another possible route (as does the original Xbox however not without modifying it). Hell, I believe some TVs now come with built in USB ports or ethernet ports to cut out any other hardware requirements.

Kill_Life
TV has an USB port but only supports MP3 and JPEG <.< I tried linking the laptop with the tv. But failed. Perhaps easier than it is, but I failed XD Some of the options here look good already. qeltar
There are adapters that can convert the yellow/white/red RGA auxiliary plugs on a TV to something that will input to a laptop if that's what you're after. I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to do. qeltar
What kind of computer is it? Many laptops have S-video out ports and all you need is a passive cable. indy500fan
The easiest way is with either a Xbox 360 or PS3. Streaming from a PC to them is so easy. If you don't have either of those then it gets slightly more complicated, but that is just because there are so many different ways to do it. Can you update the codecs on things like that? That's one advantage a Media PC would have over something like that in my opinion.
