Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.

Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes

before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he

was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have

all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal...

It is the end of an era. One of the greatest frontmen of all time has left us.

Peter Steele a few weeks ago, and now this.

What a crappy year for music.

It's not a fake. I took the quote from Metal Hammer website. He died peacefully by from his Stomach cancer.

Very sad news, indeed. He was definitely one of the most influential people in the music industry. But I've been suspecting this was gonna happen for a few weeks now, ever since Heaven & Hell cancelled their Sonisphere gig.

He seemed like an incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely nice guy. R.I.P.

Seeing as my topic was first it got locked. Anyways this is what I said in it:

*TAKEN FROM METALHAMMER.CO.UK WEBSITE*

Metal Hammer and the world of heavy metal are in mourning after learning that the legendary Ronnie James Dio has passed away after losing his battle with stomach cancer.

In a statement from his wife and manager, Wendy Dio has said the following:

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45 a.m. [on Sunday] 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private goodbyes before he peacefully passed away.

Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all.

We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us.

Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss.

Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

The iconic Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Dio and Heaven & Hell vocalist will forever be held in the highest of regards by all fans of rock and metal.

May he rest in peace. He was a real inspiration for a lot of my friends garage bands and Holy Diver will forever be the song I would want to die hearing in the midst of a battle.

Metal has lost a god.

If I see someone using the devil's horns, and they don't know what it means, or who created it, I'm punching them in the face for him.

RIP :(

Makes me think Ozzy is next :(

He's like 63 or something, and he's still at it. I think all that karma is going to bite him in the back sooner or later.

I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal.
