Lemeja
Seeing as I have a few weeks off now I was thinking about getting my first ever 99. My 2 options were either Bandits or Slaying for it. I'd only do slayer if the amount of time it took was just a bit longer than Bandits, because the profit would be worth the extra time. Does anyone have an estimate on how long 99 would take me? Aiel
If your doing it right slayer should beat bandits... DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). kingmickez25
If your doing it right slayer should beat bandits... Slayer Will Keep You Entertained, But sometimes will be a pain killing traveling everywhere and buying supplies Bandits Boring But consistent I did my 99 Attack at giant skeletons in damis lair. Totally empty With the right equipment and this one item i forget what it is that is strong against skeletons u should do great. Plus its empty most of the time might wanna check this out
lagatag
It's about 185 hours slaying, or 130 at AZ's. I don't know about bandits, I think they're slightly slower than AZ's though I don't know exactly how much slower.
mujammil
I found slayer the fastest xp/h possible :S The only thing that slows me down is travelling and getting tasks. However when i'm on tasks i ALWAYS average above 100k xp/h, just did a fire giant task killed 175 in 30 minutes which is over 150k melle xp/h, albeit i used extremes, turmoil and iron titan. Either way slayer is the way to go due to the massive profits, the entertainment factor, and the fact that it's more slay xp/h then bandits definately. Lemeja
If your doing it right slayer should beat bandits... So what would be the "right" way?
Cptbaker08
If your doing it right slayer should beat bandits... So what would be the "right" way?Super/Extreme potions on every task, combat familiar when you can, piety/turmoil every task, have the worst tasks blocked, use Lunar magic for NPC contact or Ferocious Rings/Karamja Gloves 3. Skip tasks that are hard and slow to kill. Also when doing exp/hr for slayer you should include the time to bank and get a new task. But with items such as the Ferocious Rings and Fairy Rings it should be easier to get to the master and to a bank. TheWingsOfArmadyl
Meh, both are good. Slayer's only efficient if you have quite a high level in it though...

Kaida23
Like tieszen said, please don't bump extremely old topics. This was very dead and EoC has probably rendered most of the advice moot anyway. Let's let this rest in peace. Locked. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
