HexiledRazz
For anyone wanting to know, i've ran tests myself. And the halos will stack with existing prayer bonuses. With a zammy halo, prossy plate, verac skirt, ardy cloak 3, and 80 prayer, my prayer will last almost a entire spec bar recharge(Using piety at Armored zombies). That's significantly longer then how long i last with a nezzy helm. Anyway i really love this update, best one in a while imo. Grinding away 420 castlewars tickets though out the whole time i've played finally pays off ^.^ Oh, and all the rewards are re-sellable just like the armors are. Which makes it even better. And i can really only see the shield being useful for a rune pure or something. But i really don't know a rune pure that would grind away 200 tickets at Castle Wars =S Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
PhaperPlane
Well, after comparing the Faithful shield to the Falador Shield 3. In my view, the faithful shield is better, in terms of stats. Although there is a difference with the prayer by 1 there are other factors. The Faithful shield just offers much higher defence bonuses (even offers 40+ summoning defence, Falador shield doesn't even have any!). Also, this shield doesn't effect range attack bonus, so it should be good for those who are attempting fight caves. Those are my brief thoughts, and I do intend to experiment on this some more. :)
muggiwhplar
Too bad dungeoneering rewards aren't resellable for a full refund as well ;( Halo would definitely be helpful for training at monkey zombies or monkey skeletons
Jehosaphat
Halo would definitely be helpful for training melee at monkey zombies or monkey skeletonsFix'd. Unless someone comes up with evidence of the halos affecting the "eye" prayers or the "might" prayers, let alone Augury....

And yes, i think it's a poor idea- the rewards are the one single thing that makes people want to get high dungeoneering atm, and the fact thet they are relativly hard to get makes it all worth it. We all know the stats of the items, you just have to make a choice between them. I even think the recharge cost is very balanced, do you scrifice 4-5 hours worth of tokens or pay 1.8m more, it's your choice. First to 99 Farming on 27. Troacctid
Some people will certainly get the halos because they find CW to be fun, but people generally analyze new items so that they can decide whether or not spending the time getting the halos will give them an edge over other players. Runescape is, after all, a competitive game. A good example of this is the rings from MA. No one likes MA (if they say they do, they're lying), but players play because the rings are worth the pain to some people. I would disagree. I think its this widespread attitude that poisons the once light-hearted enjoyment that most people had with this game. Now things are such serious business. And updates are either "efficient" or not. Its a freakin game...You can take it competitively if you want. But you need to understand that this is just YOUR way of playing the game, and it is rediculous to diss this kind of an update just because using these are "less efficient" or something. The halos are cool, and fun. I like the update. For people who just dont want to buy as many prayer pots will love these. People who do nothing but formulate numbers for this freakin videogame will rage and never use them. But I dont think anyone should call them useless...I think theyre great.I could say the same rant about you. If you understand that people play the game differently, then you should also understand that there's no need to come into a thread where people are discussing efficiency and start interjecting about how the game is supposed to be fun and how we're all poisoning your light-hearted enjoyment, as if it's some big revelation and you're the first one to realize that Runescape is a "freakin game". It's rude, arrogant, and hypocritical. Nobody is infringing on your ability to play the game however you want. There's no reason for you to start trashing people just because they don't feel that a cute hat that saves a few prayer potions is worth 100 hours of their time. Halo would definitely be helpful for training melee at monkey zombies or monkey skeletonsFix'd. Unless someone comes up with evidence of the halos affecting the "eye" prayers or the "might" prayers, let alone Augury.... :mellow:All three halos work on the ranged and magic prayers in the normal prayer book (except Augury) as well as all saps and leeches in the Ancient Curses. Tim
With the halos, I tested a Sara halo + prossy + sw cape + fally shield, on average it would take me about 9-10 mins for my prayer on Piety to go from 70 to 0, if I added in the stole...
