Brenton
Hello everyone out there in the Tip.it Community! I would like to make a few suggestions that I personally feel would improve the recruitment section on the Tip.it forums. My ideas revolve around some basic organization and maybe a few tweaks and turns here or there. 1. Sub forums in the Recruitment Forum for requirements. - for example: Recruitment --> Clan Search Recruitment --> Skilling, Events, and OtherRecruitment --> 60< clansRecruitment --> 70-90 clansRecruitment --> 100+clans Each of these would be listed as sub-forums under the Recruitment forum section. This will allow clans to not only more effectively keep track of their recruitment topics and gain more members, it will also allow people search for clans to narrow down to a specific category. This will allow people the opportunity to see first hand the good organizational skills that the staff here at Tip.it really have. I also believe that by making this change, it will improve the overall recommendation for recruitment hosting that Tip.it receives from many of the major clans. Word of mouth can really travel far, and with some minor improvements, it could seriously change the face or recruiting here at Tip.it. Thank you for your time,my regards,:Brent147- Grand Master of Burning Creation- Founding General of DemonSlayers- Assistant Manger for Fast SC
Kimberly
Thanks for your feedback! I'll pass this onto the rest of the Clan Staff. I'd love to hear more opinions about this, though.
Hawks
I think this is a really good idea, although it would probably require a complete revamp of the forum; ie all the topics would need to be reposted because moving them would probably be more trouble than it's worth. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
Brenton
I think that if this actually does turn out to be an idea that will be used, Tip.it could give every clan a weeks notice to copy their topics so that the information posted will not be lost. I would have to recommend to each clan, that they keep a hard copy of their topic for personal reference at all times. After they have safety and securely saved their threads, Tip.it would then be able to clean out everything and start building. I don't think this project should take more than 3 days from start to finish, after the weeks warning for topic removal. This will give Tip.it the chance to prune out all of the clan topics that are extremely old and should be removed and as I had previously mentioned it will create a new face for recruitment for the Tip.it community. :Brent
Mirror
I like this idea, a part of me thinks that we had this previously...but it slips my mind. Also I am guessing we would keep the subforum of people looking for a clan still, because I really like that subforum. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind. Brenton
Yea that sub forum would be called "Clan Search" or something to that effect. :Brent
Kimberly
I would personally like to keep it saying "Looking for a clan" or something along those lines, because the purpose of the forum is more easily explained that way :P
tripsis
We did indeed used to have this set up. I'm trying to remember why we changed it.. I want to say we decided it was too complicated :XD: I never had a problem with it though. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
das
We did indeed used to have this set up. I'm trying to remember why we changed it.. I want to say we decided it was too complicated :XD: I never had a problem with it though. It received low traffic and some sections rarely saw activity. Users felt that it segregated the community much and even alienated possible recruits. We also felt it would be more streamlined. "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln
Dbzruler72
Haha, this old topic again. The recruitment board wasn't active before, but that's changed now of course. I think seeing a differentiation between PK/CWA and skilling/other clans would be a fine update. These days, recruitment threads are pushed to the bottom so quickly. *-P.K.M-* Website

Laikrob
It's being discussed by the Clan Staff, sorry for not posting that. :) Laikrob,Tip.It Administrator & Clan Staff You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
