Xbox 360 Slim

I just have to wonder why it's necessary. Shouldn't they make sure their systems work before making them look better? (Somebody had to make that joke!)

Will not get one, old school 360 is still good enough for me.

Seems pretty obvious to me that Microsoft will attempt to make this system red ring a lot less than the original.

They have said that they have fixed the RROD and the newer models, as of 2009, will not overheat as easily, or RROD.

No, it's FFFFFUUUU for all the people who paid 70$ for an overpriced piece of technology when they had the ability to do this all along, but most likely made the financial decision not to.

Personally used a usb ethernet adapter, my laptop, and a crossover cable as a workaround at college, but hey-oh.

But it's okay guys, you can use it with their new motion sensing device, which will only cost 189.99 USD!

Welcome to the fatal flaw which might actually swing the console war temporarily back in Sony's favor, assuming their competing motion sensing device (Playstation Move) will be more reasonably priced...and it damn well should. It basically just looks like a WiiMote.

Microsoft, you sure are failing badly in Hardware these days. First the Motion Sensor+Mii look-a-like thing which "looks" like they flogged it off Nintendo and gave it a bit of a buff. They charge online use, the other two dont. now they make a "Slim" 360 w/built in wifi/modem thing to draw in the market... Now I wonder where this has come from....

Well, nowadays everything copies everything, ie: Move-wiimote, avatar-miis and trophies-achievements.

It's quite disgusting if you ask me, also saying the Slim models come from the PS2 era, you need to look back to the NES times, both NES and SNES got a slim model called NES2 and SNES2

Looks like a cheap PC case. And lol at Microsofts Natal event, people leaving and more smoke and mirrors.

Move was in development before Wii was announced.

The wii development period started from the day GC was release according to Iwata, and to be completely honest, you can't look at move and not hink "That has been done before"

Back on topic, depending on the pricing, i might be able to buy one, that if Nintendo doesn't announce a new home console though

I only referred to the PS2 because thats' basically what its reflecting, the PS2 slim was made both slimmer with online support hardware built-in, just like this 360S.

no idea if you're trolling or just being stupid, but the 360 always had a built in modem

Looks nice, love the built in Wi-Fi, but I think I'm probably just going to stick to my regular 360. This slim version is probably going to be upwards of $300.00.
