GlowinRedM
Hi, I have just gotten to my goal of 85-85-85 and before attempting getting 90 strength to complete my first summer goal I want to do a few things (in no particular order): -70 agility-85 range-70 prayer-70 summoning Now, right now I have 8m to burn. However, I had three long-term goals to get by the end of summer, and right now I'm willing to settle for one: 1. 95 prayer (or at least 92)2. 96 herblore3. All stats 70+ With two months of summer left, is any of this actually possible anymore? With only 8m available to me, I'm not sure if I can make much more cash with it to get these levels. I'm being told: DKs, GWD, etc. but I don't have the stats to solo for longer than maybe a kill or two. Either way, it will be a long haul. How can I get the cash for these? How can I keep motivated and focused when I try? The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hardAll DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>>OP asks "why use DFS?">everyone says "there is no reason">someone says "stop bashing people who use DFS, efficiency troll ass clown">thread is now a flame fest
All_Is_Great
Out of your three goals, I'd say go for all 70+ first. It's diverse, so it would be fun =P. Also, some skills will get you some good cash, such as runecrafting/ fishing/ hunter, etc.
i_r_slayer
You set your bar quite high. With your current capabilities, you wont be able to reach those goals in a few month time span. Instead I would recommend setting yourself up so that you can feasibly due high revenue activities and work toward those goals. Firstly, do you like monster hunting? If you like the Barrows activity which you seem to, then its pretty safe to pursue MHing stats. I would recommend spending your money on 82 mage and 70 prayer first. If you have the money leftover, use some grey chins and get a few ranging levels. This gets one mandatory stat for MHing out of the way, and puts your in the skill range for the best barrows setup. I would recommend barrows at that point to make some more cash. I'd chin up to 90 range, set aside money for summoning and buy some middle of the line gear such as barrows items, fury, DK rings etc. If you enjoy slayer, do that in the meantime to work your way up to 90-90-90 melees and gather charms. Summoning is a big one, you'll need at least 69 for GWD and DKs. 80 mage, 85 def and 69 summoning is high enough stats to switch to solo maging rex if you want to which is better money than barrows. Personally I would recommend mixing them up. When you hit 90+ melees, 70 prayer, 69 summoning, 90 range (depending on what you do) and adequate gear, you're ready for GWD and solo hyb DKs. I personally find GWD to be a poor money maker unless you're duoing arma/sara or soloing, both requiring very high stats if you want to be in the money. 3-4 man bandos, arma and sara are all decent money if you're lucky enough though and the stats I described fit the bill for those. Hybing DKs is great money but I wouldn't do it until unicorn unless you're looking to change things up.
GlowinRedM
The only problem I have with barrows is that I'm nearly/over 200 runs dry and have been having horrible luck with the runes as well. Why 82 mage, and how should I work to getting this? 70 prayer is also expensive, which method should I look for on this? Also, what /is/ the best barrows setup? Should I look at 90+ ranged first or slaying my 90+ melees? Also, is any/most of this possible over the course of the next two months? The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. GibberEsh
Yeah, 8 mil won't get you very far on 92 prayer or 96 herblore but you should definitely go for 70 prayer at least. From 63 to 70, it should cost ~8.6mil which isn't bad. Money making wise, (since i_r_slayer covered the monster hunting stuff), be sure to do MTK and your dallies like battlestaves. Farming is good consistent profit too, farm ranarrs until 62 so you can do snapdragons and even if you hate it, you should get a Scroll of Life from Dungeoneering. It's only 10k tokens and it'll increase your herb profits. Barrows is a nice way to make money while training your mage up a bit. Just vary it up so you don't lose motivation, break it up between skilling and hunting. Your first 4 goals can be easily reached. For agility, use the wildy course since you'll fail the ape atoll course too often to 70. Not sure on range though, I used yaks to train (>_>) since I was cheap, there's probably many better ways to do it though. Prayer and summoning are just costly, with summoning needing charms as well though. You could slay for more charms or just camp waterfiends if needed. EDIT: 82 mage is for ice blitz so you could just freeze the brothers, sidestep and use a sally so you don't need to pray. That's probably one of the best methods for barrows but for now, you can easily just wear barrows and tank them with sally. I'm not a big monster hunting guy so I can't really answer that question. GlowinRedM
Thanks. I should say I already have enough charms for 71 summoning... The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. Knight_Zaros
Get summoning first because it helps everything you do when used right. With beasts of burden bunyip etc. you will be more effective at slayer and training, etc. That being said spend your money on summoning first then get prayer to level 70. Do agility whenever you can handle it (I hate it lol...) Its free though so no worries there. GlowinRedM
Alright, Summoning does sound good, but prayer would also be useful. Its a hard choice between the two. hold_myHeart
8m will definitely not get you far with your 92 prayer goal and your herblore goal. You could do a couple of farm runs though, for a steady profit, or, if you're capable, you can go to GWDs with a friend. Otherwise, go to the Green Dragons or Blue Dragons: those give a decent amount of money per hour. Good luck with your Summer goals, though! They're more or less more achievable as of right now. ★☆ⓢⓗⓤⓕⓕⓛⓔ☆★"You have enemies? Good, that means you stood up for something.""Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. funion987
Going for all stats to 70 can be fun. I'm just going for 60 right now, but the monotony is at a minimum. Although, I didn't include Dungeoneering as a part of those stats; frankly, I think that might take a while.
Bows
I say this on nearly "I have X amount of millions to spend" topics. save it! Do some other skills to make some more money, let it add up before you blow it on those goals. That way you have some cushion. ;)
