[hide]This is what I know, The two guys who are deaf were in the Clothing store XXI and apparently they were shopping, Staff must have seen them do something to suspect them of stealing, but that doesn't have any support or facts. Before I started filming. The Big Black dude in Jeans who mighta been a store detective jumps and tackles the large hispanic deaf guy. from there I remembered my new phone and turned on the camera,

There was who looked to be the manager of XXI that said to turn off the camera because they didn't want to get exposed for harassing and dealing with a situation that turned sour.

From there, you get to see the turn of events and then in the aftermath, the sorting out of exactly what happen. From what I saw that you guys can't, the deaf guy in the white shirt was apparently assuring the store with receipts for what he was carrying.

If you guy are better than I at figuring this out or have the facts then PM me and I'll post it in the Description here below. Also if this was a whole misunderstanding, then those deaf people have a case and someone needs to help them. And if you are the ones who were in this situation, then contact a lawyer and have them look at this video. It's proof positive that the Black guy did not know how to restrain you, More over, he was nearly choking you to death by the purplish color you had on your face.

Here is some info about the store. I have no info about any of the people involved, so good luck.

Sooooo... anyone else think something should be done? Video description has details on store location and such.

Really, choking him out was a bit extreme. Is that really how you handle any other shoplifter? Nearly killing them? I mean, the guys were deaf, so of course they couldn't hear the metal detectors go off.

Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne.

Never forget. ~creeper face w/single tear~

DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!

Nice to see all those people standing around taking videos and photos on their phones doing absolutely nothing to try and help the situation..

At this rate I can't see either the rent-a-cops or bystanders as the innocent ones here.

You should hear the stories of people getting raped while witnesses just walk by and do nothing about it. It really sickens me how much your average person doesn't care about your average person.

It isn't not caring. It's fear. Fear of confrontation. Your average person will simply assume it isn't their problem, and someone will fix it.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Hell, I would be very afraid of the man choking someone on the floor, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't do anything about it.

Yeah, okay. People usually don't flee when they see a dispute - they crowd around it. I'm pretty sure the thought that was racing through their minds was something along the lines of, "Awesome dude! I'm telling everyone on Facebook about this! I'm having such a cool day."

If any of you have ever been in or seen a fight in school, you should know exactly what mentality I mean. "Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" A lot of people enjoy when this kind of thing happens. :-|

also, the more people who are around the less likely someone is to help because they'll assume that someone else will fix it.

Spot on. Sorta. People don't want to mess with the cops. If it was two civilians doing that I bet more people would of helped in some way.

But cops/mall security? They'll get some [cabbage] infraction of disturbing the peace, stopping an officer from doing their job, and other stupid things they say.

While you are right about that with the mentality of "people like this sort of thing", a school fight is more like two guys trying to solve a problem, Old West duel style without crying to the cops/school. Granted the problem was probably stupid to begin with, but, nonetheless. This incident was more like the Grand Authority vs. Innocent Civilian type of thing.

Usually, but I am also talking about the fights where one kid will just attack the other one when he didn't even see it coming. In fact, from what I've seen, kids were more turned on by the unfair pummel-some-helpless-kid-on-the-floor fights (and outnumbered fights) than they were with the "duels". And yeah, you're probably right about the whole cop thing. I haven't realized that. But for me, I really don't care what you're wearing. A person is a person. In the case that a cop is strangling a helpless guy on the floor, I would try to pull him off of him.

So yeah TIF, it's safe to say that if you are getting beat to death, Zierro will come to your rescue. ;)

There are far better way to restrain someone, but most of the time shoplifters will either be long gone or immediately give up anyway. Choking his is just torture really. He's obviously exercised his civilian right to arrest, but to continue choking the dude is nothing but torture.

Ah the good ol bystander effect. Happens all the time these days. :???:

It's easy to say that when you aren't actually faced with the situation.

You can doubt every word that comes from my mouth as usual, Bloodstain, but I have done this type of thing before in my life.

This was all over 4chan. The saddest thing is that this really isn't that uncommon. I have had experiences with the police, and have talked to people who have, and it always seems there is some sort of unnecessary violence going on.

Think about it. What sort of person is drawn to these professions? Usually, a person who wants to control things and feel self-righteous, and one who enjoys physicality. Events like this are common and should be expected.

Wrong. The majority of police officers (won't say anything about rent-a-cops), ESPECIALLY in big cities, sign up to try and protect the average person from criminal assault, rape, murder, etc. Put one of these jackasses in a room with a bunch of good cops after they've beat the [cabbage] out of someone for talking back to them, and they're going out of that room with a concussion, if not on a stretcher. These "people" justify the argument that it's better to not call the cops at all, which hinders the REAL police officers' jobs as well as puts people in danger. Removing them from their post and giving them jail time (general population wards) is the best way to remove these schoolyard bullies from the force that doesn't involve making PUBLIC examples of them (not a whole lot of people are going to hear about the [cabbage] that gets done to these guys in prison besides other cops). Every police officer that truly wants to fulfill his role in society would want to see this sort of behavior eradicated.

I work at a wal-mart and have seen people shoplift in my own department before. We are no allowed to do anything and just call security for assistance in the matter. Now I've personally watch two shoplifters get caught and it was nothing like this. They must be caught in the act of stealing. They will be escorted to the main office in the back. If they do put up a fight, only then will force be used, and it was nothing seen in the video in question.

I feel pretty bad ass when I get on the phone and call security and ask...

"I need 99 and 84 to come to electronics to watch for potential shoplifters...over."

Kinda makes me lose faith in people, even if he was shoplifting you dont use a strangle technique on them to actually harm or suffocate them, you do it as a muscle constraint and pressure point. -.-

Police brutality is not all that common in my own country. Things are bound to happen by accident or the situation escalates unnecessarily, but the situation wouldn't have happened if the criminals didn't start it in the first place. People who want to join the police in the UK are generally asked questions which prove their worth to society/improving their area in an interview, such as giving examples of community work, helping people in need, etc. Your average "I just want to wrestle with people and feel important" people won't make it through recruitment, as it shows in one of the processes of recruitment.

Security is another matter though, they aren't as regulated, and I've witnessed security guards slam people into shopping isles when they kick off, and hold them in rediculous restraining positions to escort them off premises. Generally what I witness is illegal and not proportionate, and as bad as it sounds, the people treated in such ways when caught shoplifting etc should have every right to see these people prosecuted for the way they act.

If they weren't deaf, and were dressed as you would expect the stereotypical shoplifter to be, no one would care less to see them being treated like that.

While that is semi true, it might not be the case. For example, if they were security guards in uniform with badges I may not interfere, but no, they were just big black dudes in suits. And the way they handled it was out of control. They should have restrained them, (not with a headlock, wtf is this >.>) and checked the receipts, then let them go. Even I could tell they were deaf, just by the fact they were pointing at their ears for 5 minutes.
