If anyone here has Alpha, Knotch added a new horde... Be afraid, they are hell when they are after you. It's scary, the skeleton catches on fire in the day with the spider chasing you, like a little burning demon hunting down your soul.

Be afraid... Very... Very afraid...

This took about fifteen minutes of work, after I had the materials. It's a 64x64x64 cube of water smack in the middle of the map, and might take as much as a day to remove without hacking it out of the map data (depends on how you feel about placing 4096 blocks by hand while trying to stay afloat in downward current).

What you need to bring about your own Noahic deluge: Two buckets of water, and lots of dirt. These are materials that could be gathered inside of ten minutes, assuming there's any iron to be found at all on the map.

How to do it:
  • Pillar up to the very top of the map with your dirt. Once there, dig back down one level so that you have room to place all the water.
  • Carefully start building diagonally out from the edge of the pillar, alternating from the north to the east or whichever, until you've built four blocks out or so.
  • Place the first water block on top of the pillar. Place the second water block on the block diagonally adjacent to the pillar.
  • Dig away all the dirt that's under water to let it all fall down.
  • Grab a bucketfull of water from the nearest spring (it will automatically regenerate)
  • Build out a little bit more diagonally so that you have room to back up
  • Place a water block diagonally adjacent to the mass of water you're growning (it will run down the sides)
  • Repeat steps 4-7 until somebody notices and bans you/tries to kill you.
From Minecraft Forums, I tried it and filled up a bit area on my Survival World

______

Also, here is my texture pack.

Should we create a TIFCraft server? It would be a nice little thing, and I bet if we work together we can make some crazy stuff.

Really itching to buy this game right now, it looks amazing. Unfortunately my budget isn't that great right now. Hm, gonna have to think about this!

I see a door, but what appears to be water in the cracks in the ceiling. I'm guessing drops the Gravel flooding the place?

No, that would be stupid considering how horribly water works in Alpha atm. Would be one thing if it still worked anything like it did in Classic.

I'll give you a hint: it brought my CPU to its knees. Oh yeah, and for good measure the whole circuit is attached to an RS NOR latch, so once you flip the switch the front door seals shut permanently. Redstone torch won't save you

Sure, but I'm not sure how to actually create a server.

Caved in and bought it, and it is glorious. The night sequences [bleep]ing terrify me though - so yeah, screw playing this game with headphones on.

Also the piano music is amazing.

You can download the map Here. Feel free to go nuts with fire. If you don't know how to download maps for survival there is a few guides on how to do it.

It is very fun to burn...

Holy crap, how did you get that tree so big?

I want a treehouse as well.

Also, I'd totally be game for a TIF server. I'm not much of an architect, but I'm good at gathering resources!
