Have any Runefest questions for Jagex?

Hello everyone!

 

After some smooth talking and some well placed pub/gift cards(amazing what those can get!) we have been offered an interview! :)

 

While Runefest 2010 is a few weeks done, I am sure there are a few questions in the air regarding it! Feel free to throw in questions regarding future Real Life events or anything else on your mind.

 

All questions will be compiled this upcoming Sat/Sun and sent to a J-Mod. A really cool part about these types of interviews is that the J-Mod we work with separates the questions and personally sends them to different departments that can best answer them. So feel free to ask some tough ones!

I was wondering if it would be possible for them to add out video's of the all the sessions. I know there was someone recording them all that looked 'official'.

Also wondering if they could give out the pictures and video's used in the presentations. (Specificaly the deviousMUD gameplay, I would love having that clip in a non-video cam version).

 

Over to interview questions, will there be another runefest? :o

Alright, I have a few questions on my mind for quite some time...

 

1: I'm looking towards a career at Jagex when I'm older, what if there is no job vacancy I am looking for when I try to apply then? (I hope that made sense :ohnoes: )

 

2: Will the world map be as twice as large in 5 years time?

Remember to be careful with how you ask questions. I remember reading this somewhere. Don't ask 'Will you do x?' because the response can be just 'We're looking into it!' or 'You never know!' Ask more complicated questions, ask for reasoning.

Do you think that the combat triangle is unbalanced? If yes, what sort of plans do you have on correcting it and where specifically do you feel that it is wrong? If no, why not?

 

With the warped floors at Daemonheim in development, will they be the last floors of Dungeoneering or are there plans for Dungeoneering to be taken to other areas - outside of Daemonheim? I don't mean resource dungeons, I mean the actual floors.

 

Would you be open to changing the current punishment you have against botters? Currently, many feel that 14 days ban is too lenient and that harsher punishment should be taken against these cheaters.

They confirmed ages ago that that idea was dropped because they don't want to encourage grinding in F2P

 

OT: Is Stellar still a priority for Jagex? How far along the production line is it (as a percentage)? Does it have an estimated finish date? if so when?

What is the reasoning behind the redundant dungeoneering level requirements on many rewards? For example a Bone Crusher requires level 21, yet it is not humanly possible to get enough tokens to buy it until your level is in the 60-70 range.

They answered that before, it was because they wanted to have it available at a low prayer level, and since skill req = dung req for the other items, they made it 21 dung as well.

Well it's better trying than almost definitely getting a response with no information.

I'm not asking about skillcapes, those were rejected for F2P years ago. However, I remember reading something as recently as a few months ago about an 99 skill item for F2P.

Quite some time ago Jagex invited the top 5 P2p and F2p and rank 1 Funorb to their compagnie.

 

Will Jagex (ever) do anything like that again?

*edit: And if yes; would Jagex tell the crowd beforehand so we could really see a small battle in the top to become one of the 5 :P :D!

And my question to Jagex (Not Runefest related - What a surprise!):

Why do you not give F2Pers the privilege of Bonus XP Weekends? It's not a matter of "Why should we? F2Pers don't pay", but a matter of "Why can't you?". It's not content, just numbers, and F2Pers are GRINDING their teeths off as it is with the very, very slow experience.

 

I bet answer will be:

Because F2Pers don't pay, or "We are considering F2P eventually" (as in a year later).
