Springyguy
Ive got 54 bronze dragons as a slayer task, and im not sure on what i should do while fightning them (what to wear, what weapon, food)my signiture should be below so my skills are on itany help or advice is greatly appreciated
Sy_Accursed
Skip them. Metal dragons are slow and relatively costly to kill. Bronze have no decent drops to compensate this. Springyguy
I cant skip it as i dont have any points yet, im not sure why because ive done 20+ slayer tasks
Sy_Accursed
In that case you want full mage gear + anti-fire shield and anti-fire pots.Metals are weakest to mage, and if you mage from a distance only the fire can hit you (which shield + pots negates) And no points means u prob not done smoking killsAlso you can skip it by burthroping it (aka use burthorpe master to swap task for an easy peasy one) since you seem to not have unlocked slayer points it doesnt matter if u burthorpe taskes. Emerson
Metal dragons are slow and relatively costly to kill. Bronze have no decent drops to compensate this. I actually respectfully disagree. The dragon bones should make up for the losses in potions and bronzes are one of the most hunted monsters for elite clues  If you mage them as Sy suggests (chaos gauntlets from family crest help IMMENSELY in this endeavour) then the bones of two dragons will make up for a full antifire potion and I would hope you can get enough kills to make up for runes and potions on bronzes. If that doesn't work try engaging them in melee wear full prayer gear and bring prayer potions to pray protection along with some antifires and combat pots (supers are a bit much for bronze dragons) using your strongest one-handed weapon. Quyneax
Supers are perfectly justified on anything. Prayer gear + leaf-bladed sword is probably your best bet if you don't want to mage. MstrMonopoly
Springy, use whip+super sets+proselyte+melee pray. LBS isn't as good on bronze drags. I piety the fool.
Zephy
Skip them. Metal dragons are slow and relatively costly to kill. Bronze have no decent drops to compensate this.Elite clues have only changed this a tiny bit. Especially at your [the original poster's] levels, they are far too much of a pain to be worth attempting. Bones will pay for your pots and/or runes, but it's still an annoying waste of your time. (You can go to blues or something if you really want bones.) Cancel if you've done Smoking Kills, or Burthorpe if you haven't. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate. If so, that's why you're not getting points. That would be because, according to his Adventure's Log, he hasn't done Smoking Kills. I think you should stop slaying right now, OP, and do that quest. In addition to my above advice I strongly second this suggestion! No seriously, smoking kills is a lifechanger. tigershelby2
You might also consider ranging them. Its pretty dang cheap, only paying for a few bolts and the anti fire pots. Its pretty dang cheap, only paying for a few bolts and the anti fire pots. not with a range level of 55 mate! If you don't have like 70/75+ I really don't recommend ranging metals "In order to lead, you must learn how to carry your followers upon your shoulders""A man is not only defined by his abilities, but also by those of the men with which he surrounds himself""The meek fight for skill and fame, the strong fight for power with the skill and fame they already have""There is no good without sacrifice and no sacrifice without mercy"

Springyguy
I suppose I'm going to do smoking kills now, and my range is so low because I find it boring to train so I might get some sacred clay armour to speed the training up, and thanks for the advice everyone it's been very helpful
tigershelby2
Summona assigns a good number of rangeable taks, so if you want to train (highly recommended to train to atleast 70) thats one way Barrows: Verac- Helm, Brassard x 2,Torag- Body, HammersKaril- CrossbowGuthan- BodyAhrim- Hood, Staff
Emerson
Another good way to train ranged has been introduced thanks to conquest. If you have the gumption to go get a deflector (if you don't already know it allows you to substitute another, traditional piece of void for gear and still get the effect)... you can get amazing amounts of xp. Wearing the void knight range helm, a sacred clay body, void robe bottoms, gloves and the deflector with knives you can get great xp at lower def monsters. For those with higher def that you can safe I recommend switching to a crossbow at level 61 and using broad bolts... before rune crossbows really aren't worth it but thats just my opinion. As for slayer, the focus sight coupled with sacred clay has some very good prospects so go find what works for you "In order to lead, you must learn how to carry your followers upon your shoulders""A man is not only defined by his abilities, but also by those of the men with which he surrounds himself""The meek fight for skill and fame, the strong fight for power with the skill and fame they already have""There is no good without sacrifice and no sacrifice without mercy"
SirIzenhime
Ranging any dragon (besides frost) is really stupid. It worked fine when I ranged slay, I actually killed them quiet fast. But I was using Eagle eye and range pots all the time when I did it. ruben1026
Before you continue slayer do 3 things get smoking kills completed, 75 range and combat stats to 80. Leaf blade sword, prosy armor, slayer helm best bet at ur level
Youmu
I've done bronzes lower than that level, and they're basically blue dragons with red dragon defense. I used full rune + dragon longsword (stab) + antifire shield + antifire potions w/ lobsters, and got around 9 kills per trip at Brimhaven Dungeon. If you've ran out of food, protect from melee another kill or two. That was when I was really newb at members though, and using Chaeldar because I don't have the requirements for smoking kills... stupid friend for not let me get 85 combat before getting me members on Singha. #-o Also use a black mask for melee tasks if possible.
