I am level 5 and I am heading to the town that was not totally messed up by Caesar's Legion.

 

Speccing in guns, sneak and speech. Need a cooler gun, Varmint Rifles suck. Only died once, when three Radscorpions basically came and ruined my [cabbage]. They're terrifying.

Try to find a service rifle. Basiclly a semi-automatic M16. Another rifle is the cowboy repeater. They worked well for me when I was level 14, too bad I restarted my game.

service rifle is awful i sold it as soon as i got it i mostly used 44 magnum/10mm pistol/Laser RCW

is there any better melee weapon then the thermic lance? still need the achivement for 10k melee damage :???:

I never found the 44 magnum. :unsure:

fiends carry them i also think you can buy it from gun runners

i also found the ailen blaster today 1 hits most things dps of almost 500 with hardly any points on energy weapons but the only ammo ingame is with the blaster >.<

Does anyone know how to get the Brotherhood of Steel to support you in the Hoover Dam battle? I think I've done everything possible in the Hidden Valley. Are there more Brotherhood locations?

 

So far in my adventure, ED-E has disappered somewhere and won't appear no matter where I fast travel. I've also taken out every Legion member in Nelson, Cottonwood Cove, and the outside of The Fort. Why is it that 2 people can get more done in a day than an entire army?

Do Veronica's quest and keep Elder McNamara. You can't forge an alliance between NCR and BoS with Hardiin, I tried :wall:

To get ED-E back, go to vault 22 and use the elevator. That should help.

It's a game worth looking into. The story may not be the best ( I think it's great, but others not so much) and the amount of depth in the game is amazing. Maybe rent the game for a week or borrow it from someone who has it?

 

Getting ready to do the quest where I go to the rocket facility and help the ghouls complete the "great journey" Such an enjoyable quest :thumbup:

The doctor in the New Vegas Medical Clinic sells implants that can raise your SPECIAL stats, add health regeneration, and additional DT boosts. I think the stat ones cost 4000 caps each, and the health + DT cost 8000+.

Anyone been to Vault 11?

 

Absolutely one of the best gaming experiences in the game itself, and probably the best vault since Vault 69. :P But seriously it was absolutely awesome, the person who wrote it should win an award and given a significant pay raise.

 

I'm 36 hours in on the new file, and still having a blast. Cybernetic implants are awesome. And I brought my energy weapons up to 100 because I wanted to completely affirm if I hate energy weapons and have to say, I love them more now, but the ammo consumption rate is atrocious and rate of degradation is pretty horrific as well, and that's with 100 repair. Perhaps its because I have use Maximum Charged rounds, but even without them the degradation rate is bad. Even with those bad sides, though, most were forgiven with the Meltdown perk, but the nerf is still evident in comparison to Fallout 3.

 

Whatever, time to go blazin' with my recharger rifle.

So far i'm nearly 8 hours in and loving it. I see myself having to start all over though because right now I'm not going to befriend the legion, next playthough i'll go that route i suppose.

Got this in a deal with Black Ops and really enjoying it as I did Fallout 3, one problem though. At the part where I need Cass i think her name is to sell her caravan rights or w/e there is a marker telling me to talk to her, and there are no new options to click? I need to do the quest to make her come with me to Vegas.

I exited this one building, and I was apparently Ambushed by 3 old women with rolling pins. I love the Wild Wasteland perk. I'm a bit sad through I have to give it back to my friend. :cry:

Step 1: Go through your deck (top row of cards) and place as many 7's, 9's, and 10's in your deck as possible. Press A to add a card and press X to remove it from your deck.

 

Step 2: After placing those cards, go through your deck and add or remove other cards in order to have only 30 cards in your deck. For example, if you place all of your 7's, 9's, 10's and you only have 16 cards in your deck, then add any other cards to your deck until you have 30.

 

Step 3: Before you place your first card down, go through your pile of cards and discard any cards that are not 7's, 9's, or 10's. You only need 3 of each card, so discard any extra 7's, 9's, or 10's. You can only have 8 cards in your pile, so you won't be able to get 3 for each card. I got very lucky my first hand and my pile was already perfectly set up.

 

Step 4: For your first card (column), place a 10. For your second card (column), place a 7. And for your third card (column), place another 10.

 

Step 5: Place a 9 as your second card for each column. It has to be a 9! After you place a 9 in your first column, place a 7 as your third and final card. This column will now add up to 26. After you complete the first column, place a 9 in your second column if you haven't already. Then place a 10 as your third and final card for your second column. After you finish your second column, move to the third column and place a 9 and later a 7 to add up to 26.

 

Step 6: If you are missing one of these cards from your pile, simply discard what you don't need until you get the card(s) that you need.

 

Step 7: If you have 3 tracks of 26 and you haven't won yet, simply discard your track of 26 that is across from the other player's track of 26.

I just found some Spiked Knuckles. Now I'm killing NCR peeps in 3 hits at level 6. Unarmed is overpowered and I love it!

 

@Skully: One of the best parts of Fallout is that you can do whatever you want. You can do all of those quests in any order or not do them at all and kill everyone in you want.

Yeah choices are cool, but I don't like having like 8 quests thrown at me when I have no idea what happens depending on what I do lol.

Multiple playthrough's are required to get all the achievements and find out what each route does. I took the House Always Wins path and failed quite a few quests but I can take the NCR path on my next playthrough aswell as the Caesars path if I save at the correct points. Thats the best thing to do imo.
