Skeptical
Corporations serve themselves, not the people. It is actually illegal for a corporation to engage in behavior that does not serve its shareholders. It is an externalization machine, that methodically unloads the cost of its profits onto society, the environment, and its own employees. It is a psychopathic entity, created in its modern form through a legal error. "Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security." Skeptical
There is a significant disparity between the political party closest in line with my beliefs (the New Democratic Party) and the political party that I support. Did anyone else find this?YepI think the closest to my beliefs would be the Green party, but I voted Democrat (Which ends up being center right, apparently). I couldn't stand the way their platform was written. I'm not registered with a party, though, so I can do that I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Skeptical
I'm assuming that you're referring to the presidential election. Why did you vote Democrat? Skeptical
They have an interesting platform: they're certainly less centrist that any party that Canada has. In some ways that isn't a bad thing, though: we end up with less conservative Conservatives, but Liberals that can hardly even be considered liberal.
