yuyu13
How does the Korasi's Sword perform for slayer? On monsters with high defence and low defence? How does it compare to Dragon Claws (I expect claws to be better, but by how much?) and the DDS? All advice is appreciated. Thanks.~yuusuke-u
Jeffwilson99
I find it performs reasonably well. I don't have claws so I use it on tasks where I don't need EE, such as Gargoyles, Hellhounds and Greater Demons. It hits pretty hard, especially on in Kuradal's Dungeon with a Ferocious Ring and piety. With that, I find I can hit up to at least 650, but more often 400-500 pretty easily. Shangdi
I find it very useful for metal dragons--Best weapon if you don't have chaotics, and its spec is guaranteed hit. Legionwizard
With super pots and void I've recorded hits up to 450+ on waterfiends, pretty consistently. Works very well on wyverns, hits up to 500+ with super pots. Monsters with low mage def, it kinda speaks for itself to use it there. Haven't had the chance to test it on much other stuff as I'm mage slaying for the moment. Achieved quest (07/08/2009), woodcutting (28/06/2010), attack (21/07/2010), strength + constitution (07/08/2010), defence (26/09/2010), summoning (13/01/2011), herblore (03/03/2011), cook (31/08/2012), firemaking (01/09/2012), magic (08/09/2012), prayer (16/09/2012) and ranged (29/10/2012) capes. Quyneax
KS special gets better as the monster's defence goes up, as it never misses. However, it is no good in multicombat. Apart from the spec, it really isn't very good exept when powertraining strength in void deflector, or when you can't afford zspear, or when you can't afford ss. In all cases the rapier is still far better, of course. xpx
The monsters for whom you should use KS spec instead of claws are... Mithril dragons, wyverns, black dragons(quite borderline), maybe steel dragons(but claws get a much higher boost from fero) and that's about it. The spec isn't very good in multy-combat and only gets a +40 damage boost from fero ring(claws get up to 160 damage boost). First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Vex
Basically it's a good filler wep for killing dragons before you get super antifires or a rapier. Whip will be better for everything that isn't weak to stab. http://www.[Caution! Jagex Rule Violation].com

Tested both claws and Korasi's Sword at black dragons, with extremes and 99 attack / 96 strength and piety claws were better. I piety the fool. yuyu13
I'm just looking at it as a spec weapon. So far it sounds like use over claws for metals, but claws for everything else.

TheAncient
DDS has a slightly higher max I believe, and you get more specs with it. DClaws's damage distribution isn't uniform like that of the DDS, so the expected hit from Claws might be higher. Plus it's significantly more accurate. With that said, I think DDS still might win out against 0 defense because of the 2 added specs. Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? With claws, however, I managed to hit like 500-800 every time despite the 50% drain.
