paul191600
It should be gramatically correct, and the entire message has been scrambled. If something seems *completely* wrong, pm. Jehosaphat
(Well, if you just hucked the entire thing into a scrambler, that makes it essentially entirely undecodable in relation to the original message. If it were scrambled by sentence or by section, that would make it solvable. But the way it is, it'd be much too easy to screw up pronouns/nouns/verbs and end up with something with an entirely different meaning than the original. I.E. "spread I butter grandma. letter Then my on toast. sent a I to"Could end up being"I spread butter on my toast. Then I sent a letter to grandma."OR"I spread butter on grandma. Then I sent a letter to my toast."OR"I sent butter to grandma. Then I spread letter on my toast."or any of the many more combinations. (Granted, the last one has issues, but you get the point.)) Retech
I have found the AI logs in the crew diaries, and I have hidden in my crew quarters to solve them. Nexaduro
It seems people have begun encrypting all their diary entries, reading the diaries of others, and then arguing the information they learn. Seraphi
Could those who are good at cryptograms and are on the crew please assist those of us that aren't by not hiding information which could concievably save money, time, and efficiency? It's rather annoying when every single diary entry is encrypted for no reason whatsoever, and can be a tad frustrating when a certain temporary captain needs to keep track of what's going on and is unable to due to the lack of information flow and knowledge of puzzles. -First Officer Jeremiah
Jehosaphat
It would appear that diary privacy is not standard policy on this ship, as everyone seems to basically be making a discussion in their diaries instead of taking a basic log of their outlook on ship activities. Oh well, I might as well jump on the bandwagon. Jeremiah, there's nothing important encrypted that will change anything we may do in the future, except possibly our outlook on a certain probable future mission. -Crewman Theros (I just encrypted mine to prevent massive spoilerage for those too lazy to decrypt Archi's and then suddenly WHAM it's a massive fad.) Seraphi
That's kind of what I was talking about. I'm not too good with cryptograms. I could do it, but it would take me far too long to be worthwhile, so I propose that we keep it spoilered until an hour or so before the next session, and then release the deciphered version. Is that acceptable? -Jeremiah
archimage_a
AI LogSupplemental-Rebuttal The AI Log should remain encrypted for the sessions, and be decrypted afterwards...The point of the encryption is to give some people an advantage for spending a little extra time working on stuff. Decrypting them an hour beforehand just means that if someone joins late everyone knows everything already. It also gives the game a little interdependency...The Captain(Jeremiah or Nero) don't have time to fiddle around with the logs (Neither does Jen but yeah), so they should get reports from those such as Theros...And if Theros wants to 'massage' the truth a little... Jehosaphat
Journal of Theros Well, that was interesting. I was left in command just in time to make a rather massive decision regarding the remains of the Kirby. Instead of scrapping it for resources, I chose to have it repaired out of the Unity's ship fund. Consequentially, I have left it under basic Unity jurisdiction - that is, it follows the current command system that we have aboard the Unity. While I know that Jeremiah's probably going to rip a chunk out of my hide for repairing it out of the ship funds, I think that having the second ship will be invaluable in the future - especially since it's no longer under the command of a raging psychopath medic. However, I left one extra order for the AI regarding it - a rechristening for its new commanders. The second ship is now the Saber. Aside from that little escapade, we seem to be rid of our old medic (who, by the way, malevolently destroyed our science bay on the way out before the Russians picked her up), and have a new one. Oddly enough, they both have the same first name. I can only hope that the new guy isn't nearly as insane or malevolent. Oh, and the decrease in my sugar intake via the AI have left me in a slightly fouler mood as of late. Oh well, guess I'll just have to drink coffee instead of syrup in the mornings. Nexaduro
Another day, another dollar. Another massive dent in the hull. Another misunderstanding. That's life in the Unity, I suppose. Today was mundane by our standards. Jen got arrested and replaced, after driving her ship into the Unity. There are quite a few folks onboard the ship at this point. If overcrowding becomes an issue, we can always find places for our less-desired crewmembers though. Especially since we've begun carving out a base and shipyard in an asteroid back in good old Sol. There seems to be some hitch in the development of my BLITZ Array, wonder what that's about... - Officer Faust 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Earth
Well, today was fun.. Sorta. After waiting for our AI to get off "Collectiing Data" Faust went slightly insane about SUE, who is a homicidal maniac who i would like to reprogram, and i nearly caved his skull in. Again. Then, we tested the BLITZ aray of his against my menagerie of weapons. I came out on top twice, him three times because of his little "Electric" trick. Annoying, but effective for us. THEN, while i was training, our erstwhile Kirby Captain Jen got arrested. Then crashed her ship into the Unity. I was tired of repairing that hulking death trap so many times so i let the others handle it. Ugh, sometimes these ships come back in the worst conditions after something as mundane as moving them, for chrissakes.Chief Repairman and Mele specialistEarth. Signing off. Nexaduro
[bleep]. Earth just completely incinerated the Saber, himself, and Chi. Earth
Daily reportToday was fun.. Again. After i Blew up the engines on the Saber thanks to our son uvva gun old captain, Jen, everyone was rightly pissed off at me. I should have deciphered the note that was in the litte suprise before hitting any buttons.. Ugh.Now i'm in a huge debt. But, i managed to design aminiature ship to help expediente the mining and ship yard building process. And then Faust killed one of our crew with his BLITZ array.. Less stupid than my Accident, but still bad. Now, we have three new mining ships, which everyone was argueing about before i came to write the log.
