Hybriding Kalphite Queen

42 kills in now, I've been using full Verac's as that is claimed the most surefire way to down the Kalphite Queen. However, my Ranged is far superior to my melee abilities (94 > 75/75) and I was wondering whether it's possible to design a wellfare outfit (with 4 items protected) that can be used to Hybrid the KQ.

 

I was thinking:

 

- Verac's Helm

- Karil's top

- Verac's skirt

- Rock climbing boots

- Amulet of Glory

- Combat bracelet

- 75 diamond bolts (e)

- Ring of wealth

- Ava's attractor

 

Weapons:

- DDS + Unholy book (first half, first form)

- Verac's flail (second half, first form)

- Rune crossbow (second form)

 

Inventory:

- 4 Extreme pots

- 2 Prayer potions

- Teleport tab

- Rock tails

 

BoB

- 18 Rocktails

 

Should I change anything?

I sip a Super anti at Shantay bank. 5 minutes is more than enough to get close to KQ and away from her guardians.

Full verac's is not the best way to take down the queen, that is the chaotic maul, but yeah. The Queen's protect prayers indicate a radical increase in defence rather than an insurmountable barrier.

 

I think that, at your stats, you could perhaps all-range the queen. Just wear elite void deflector + acp and use diamond bolts, praying ranged I suppose. I don't know how viable it is since you don't have rigour or ccbow.

if your a tank ignore this ^ :P also I can testify that with 93 range I can down the queen with only diamond e bolts, so I would stick to your guns (ranged)

On the topic of KQ, with 99 melees, would I do better with full Verac's armor and flail, or with BCP, Verac's Skirt, Nezzy Helm/Fighter Hat (Which one?), and C Rapier+ Rune Defender.

Rapier + defender is pretty close a godsword setup (accuracy-wise) so I guess you'll be fine, but I'm not sure.

What would be a good mono-range gear set-up? Assuming I do not have a void deflector. Nor Chaotic crossbow. Nor rigour.

Hand cannon full void. Her magic/range attacks have 100% accuracy so defense doesn't matter.

Full void has fairly low accuracy though. I'd recommend looking into the deflector and using a rune crossbow with diamond and ruby bolts.

Well, if they don't, they are pretty damn crazy accurate considering she is level 333 and stronger than gwd bosses.

After experimenting between full Verac's, full Armadyl and full Void, I've personally witnessed no increase or decrease in my usage of food. So I'm going to trust the 100% accuracy rumour for this.

 

That being said, approximately how long does it take to get a a void deflector? And is it any fun to get? What would be recommended to get it?

Fun: subjective, I loved it. It's 150 pest points so about 1.5 hrs not counting the rank you need.

 

Two ways: either you pay people to lose (or get a friend) or you play for real. The latter requires some skill but it isn't terribly hard as some people just lose for easy points.
