Grogthurk
What are some semi-decent ways to get to 99 Magic? I'm looking for a generally low cost way. I will make the money irregardless, but would like to avoid massssssive spending. Any ideas?
Bows
I heard stringing gold amulets was a good way a few months back - and relatively cheap too. Though I'm not too sure if that's still the case.
kingmickez25
Hunter Kits. Lunar spell book. Use i think its a mud staff or elemental staff. all u pay for is the astral runes. If u can handel unpacking all these hunter kits i think u make a small profit. or u can just use them as junk AFK...+ semi cheap+ good patience = 99 magic for u my friend

Zaaps1
rex and barraging/bursting lobs are the only methods id consider This. The only time I would not consider Rex is if I had 85 dg and a yak, or some other equivalent. The only time I would not consider Rock Lobsters is if I had 99 summoning AND 99 hp. ~It's Super Effective! Quyneax
Rock lobsters can get you a unicorn on 99 mage, so that's good. Rex profits a bunch. Get a dagganoth task for the ultimate anticrash, as you don't have wolper/xmage. Vulxai
If you want to afk a bit, I'd suggest String Jewelry (the method I've been using the past 4 levels, closing in on 5). You can actually combine String Jewelry and Hunter Kit together to increase your xp/hr. Both spells only cost the cost of two astrals (if you have a mud staff), and I can't remember the xp/hr, but I believe both spells combined was a little over 130k xp/hr. If you have the money, go ahead and burst rock lobs, but that's very costly, yet will get mage, hp, and summoning xp. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Grogthurk
I actually hate combat maging for the most part. Just buy all the stuff on the ge for string?
Vulxai
I actually hate combat maging for the most part. Just buy all the stuff on the ge for string? Yes, make sure you're on the Lunar spellbook, and buy two astrals per UNSTRUNG gold amulet (they have the same name, so make sure it's the unstrung one). You click the spell once, and it'll string each gold amulet one by one until they're all strung in your inventory. If you combine Hunter Kit, withdraw 14 gold amulets, and then click String Jewelry. Hover over the Hunter Kit spell, and once you see 2 runes being used, click the spell, once you see the rune count go down by 4, then click it again, and repeat every 4 runes. You'll run out of inventory space to cast Hunter Kit about the time you run out of gold amulets. Remember, String Jewelry takes 80 magic, whilst Hunter Kit only takes 71. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Shangdi
I trained 94-96 magic with Stun and Alching at the same time--150k per hour, and it cost me ~5m. so a little more than 4,1 gp/xp. I hear that you can string jewellery and make hunter kits at the same time for more xp than either alone, and seeing how hunter kits are already excellent xp...(although, it is expensive (mostly the hunter kit part)) [hide=A funny conversation]Me:Have u wondered how my brassard, which leaves my chest bare, give about the same def as ur pile of rocks?Friend:HahahaFriend:Maybe you are just good at blocking with your shoulder?Me:Ahahahahaha[/hide]Rare drops: 4 D legs, 1 D skirtBarrows items: 2 Verac's helms, 1 Dhorak's Greataxe, 1 Dhorak's platelegs, 2 Karil's leathertops, 1 Karil's crossbow, 1 Guthan's chainskirt Quest cape achieved 28 Dec, 2009, lost with Nomad's Requiem, re-obtained on 19 Mar 2010.
