I'm pretty interested to see how this update is going to affect the price of dclaws. Won't be surprised if they rise past the 33m mark they were settled on before they crashed.

This makes chaotic kite an even better substitute for DFS, (albeit without the str bonus) shame that a 200k obby shield has almost the same soaking stats as the chaotic shields though.

I dont think the soaking will work on Nomad. He has special attackes that hit you for set amounts and for LP-1 etc. Might be better for his other, regular, attacks though.

These new armours could make Jad a bit easier.
No more 1 hit if you miss a prayer switch?

And Nomad as well ... The near 1 hit kill .. and 20% soaking .. that's ~-150 dmg.

But nomads attacks can't be blocked by prayers, so one would assume perhaps damage soaking doesnt touch em either.

As its a mage attack, but some sort of special mage attack that ignores prayer and all mage defence, so why shuld soaking be any diff?

Dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but Mod Easty posted this earlier

This was actually updated, just missed off of the news post. I'll have a word with our editors to get that added.

You are now able to left click on the "collapsed" menu to perform the default action, such as "Take" on objects.

His ultimate attack is probably of an 'uncategorized' (meaning not melee, range nor magic) damage type, so soaking won't affect it.

And thank god for that :P

Ok, I don't play much anymore. What armor is that?

GF f2p mage.

Dg armor also do not soak. They officially still suck.

This update is quite pointless for f2p anyway as all max hits are so low(ranged and mage are uneffected while melee is slightly affected(max around 2% total reduction).

The soak stats on the KB seem mildly screwed up for some cases, however 3rd vambs seem to be the biggest winner of this update(only gloves that soak).

Should make AGS, Korsais, Handcannon and D Bow less effective.

Claws are the huge winner here.

My fully charged crystal shield gives:
absorb melee: 6%
absorb range: 12%

Both 1% higher than obby shield. It also has higher defense bonuses.

Will this make the recharging more worth it?

I assume this is because they've been able to balance dungeoneering much much better without these changes as it was something entirely new. This is assuming you mean the armour in daemonheim itself.

lol @ bandos boots typo.
I'm guessing it's supposed to be bandos chestplate +9% damage soak, not the boots :P

from what i've heard, ppl bought the boots and found that they give 0

Was leaning more towards F2P PvP clan fights. :P Like when 50+ people are attacking you at once with melee, ranged and magic.

Seems like a good find. Now if only the stats didn't degrade.
So who is going to check the kb for the typos since jagex can't do it.
Do we really believe that arma chest has no soak or the dragonfire shield (other than the most important soak- dragonsfire)?
Oh and who is going to post the first pic of a bazillion balloons at soul wars?

3rd vambs seem to be the biggest winner of this update(only gloves that soak).

bought and equipped a pair, saw 0 soak.
of course we don't know if this is an in game typo or a kb typo <_<
remember how the shields displayed 0 soak?
ugh what a troll, two sources of potential inaccuracy, gf jagex =\.

maybe I'll ask someone to try to mage max on me while i wear just the gloves.
I'm glad that hitsplats display soaking.
or else we'd have a nightmare on our hands.
