In addition all the ranks are saying similar things, and people are suggesting free trade and old style wilderness for long - term customers. He is no longer in the CC, but he was before, asking for suggestions and ideas on how to implement it. You can ask some of the ranks currently in there. Thoughts? Pics? etc. I imagine someone took screens of it. Well apparently, there's going to be no trade limit and wild, and they'll be only for very long term accounts with no bad track records, which would make an entirely huge amount of sense. Hopefully 2011 brings great things. As you know, we removed free trade and the Wilderness in 2007 to combat botting, gold farming and item scamming. Since then, we have produced new content that provides comparable gameplay and mechanics to allow increased trade limits with long-term friends; however, we are still regularly being told that something is missing from the 'good old days' of RuneScape. We've been shutting down bot-makers all around the world and prosecuting people for stealing accounts, and we've evolved our systems to quickly detect cheating; however, we will have to accept that we will never completely eradicate cheating so long as there is an incentive and method to do so. Bringing back free trade and the original Wilderness will certainly make this a bigger issue than it is today, though I can pledge that we will never stop trying to combat it. So, the big question is, are the passionate voices we hear on this topic truly representative of the majority of the player community or just a rather vocal minority? Do you want to see a return of free trade and the original Wilderness? If the vast majority of our players vote in favour of it, then we will do exactly that. I made this to ask others if they think it's a good idea, or to see pictures from other people regarding it. What TheAncient posted should be enough for you to understand something was just said. RWTing updates aren't being repealed anytime soon. Considering there's no screens of him committing the game to such a change, that this was anything more than (irresponsible) idle chatter on his part, you can safely go about your daily lives of RuneScape. Really, what else is there to say? There's already threads that discuss the possibility of reverting the RWT'ing updates, so the only thing to gnaw over here is if/(or the unlikely) when it will happen. I don't know what's even worth discussing here, especially with no proof to anything but third party hearsay. Even has a misleading topic title. Lordy...the rules, they're groaning under the bending. That being said, I quit playing runescape when they removed free trade because I enjoyed merchanting. If I had nothing but time to kill, such a change might bring me back to playing again.
