A Few Varied Questions

Recommended Posts

I have a few questions in different departments:

1) How long does it take to get from 65 Hunter to 81 Hunter, using the fastest method? I farm all the time, and I would love to use the farming Juju potion to get greater returns.

2) With the coming of Free Trade, I want to get rid of my junk. Which items are in high-demand to be lent? I want to buy one of them and use it to get rid of my junk by lending it.

3) I am currently 83 Slayer and I have the charms for 86 Summoning. If I only collect charms through Slayer, and I use all charms to train Summoning, approximately what Slayer will I have when I reach 96 Summoning?

4) Would it be advisable to get 96 Summoning through bursting in order to take better advantage of (Metal) Dragon / Dagganoth tasks (or any Slayer task, in general), and then train to 99 through Slayer? It sucks having to bank after every invent, when I can take the time/effort to get 96 Summoning and bank every drop. Or will it be a waste of time (basically, is getting 96 Summoning before going any further in Slayer an efficient/smart move)?

2) Godswords, bandos, claws. But I wouldn't buy any as some of them are dropping in price already. So what you make from lending pays for the amount the price drops.

3) ~93

4)Well even if you do get 96 summoning, you would use the yak for a minority of tasks so eh you can decide.

1) 65 - 70 Bonecrusher and Falconry - expect around 60k xp an hr or so. 70+ Start Jadinko hunting I guess, make sure you're always using a bear. It's slow at 70, so you may want to keep going at falconry or penguins/red salamanders. But you will start obtaining seeds from the normal jadinkos. You only need a couple of Ugune seeds (assuming they survive) to make a decent crop of Farming JuJu's so you can at least get started on it.

3) Entirely depends on your task list. However it is unlikely to get more than a 1:1 ratio of summoning xp to slayer xp. However with a specialised list you can average around 60k summoning xp per hr. (However you will need a steel titan for this, so it kind of defeats the purpose)

4) Depending on your final task list & what you want from Slayer (Other than just slayer xp) will influence heavily on whether you will want a Yak. If you plan to do Slayer for Effigies or Profit you will be using a Yak on over 60% of tasks, the rest would be an iron/steel titan. If you do not plan to slay past 99 I would get 96 summoning first as I believe it makes the experience more enjoyable. If you still need magic xp, then bursting/barraging would be good, however you do not get effigies.

1)That totally depends how much time you're willing to put into it, some train constantly, others only a few hours a day. A few variables there. I would say, maybe a week, again, depending how much you're on.

2)With the oncoming of free trade, passing junk for "item renting" will more than likely be passe, hence no need for junk. The junk was to help up the trade limit.

3)That is an extremely difficult question to answer, it totally depends on who you go to for a slayer master, what tasks you get, how you train summoning, and what your summoning level is now. There are a great many variables there, so that is nearly impossible to answer for you.

4)I got 96 summoning specifically because it made slayer faster. For you, it depends how much cash you're willing to spend (it will be a much!) or will you go through slayer and have it pay for itself. Keep in mind, each item you make summoning, has the potential of big monetary dividends (no not by alching, or selling, but by merely using them for their intended purpose). Some will speed up tasks, some are designed to forage, others helping speed up other skilling processes. I made a lot of money from summoning, before I got to 96. I used that money to help summoning pay for itself.

I hope these answer your questions for you.

So would you say that, if someone started Slaying and Summoning at level 1, Slayer would beat Summoning to level 99? How far behind would Summoning be? I also usually do tasks which give good charms; I don't really mind the Slayer experience.

I probably won't be doing much Slayer after 99, maybe just for getting KBD and Dagganoth tasks for boss hunting.

I would probably ammend my comment - Since the speed at which you kill things is irrelevant when it comes to Slayer Summoning Ratio, something I forgot I guess.

However each individual task has its own Slayer Xp:Summoning Xp Ratio - However the slayer aspect of the ratio is static, the summoning part is not. As depending on your level - you have access to different familiars to create & thus as you become higher in summoning, you achieve more XP per charm, which will tip the ratio in favour of summoning IF you plan your tasks accordingly. (Hellhounds & FireGiants for example would give more slayer xp than summoning xp, however dust devils and greater demons may give more summoning xp than slayer xp (due to them primarily dropping crimson charms, instead of gold charms)

With planning, and omitting various tasks from your list as you level, you could achieve more summoning xp than slayer xp. (However It's generally widely accepted not to bother slaying until you are 85 combat (or near) and then slay to 35 to unlock Smoking Kills. This way you can start accumulating points as early as possible, which after you've bought the various things from the slayer master, should be used to cancel additional tasks (outside of your block list) as at Kuradel level, the points per task only add around 40k profit to a task (when spent on slayer runes).

I think the information or charm logs are on most wiki articles on the monsters, if not on tip.it itself. If you are as you say, 83 slayer and 86 summoning, you could, using Kuradel, achieve 99 summoning, before 99 Slayer, but you would have to concentrate your task list on the charm dropping monsters, which may forgo faster slayer xp, or more profit/effigies. If you don't cancel anything and only have 5 things blocked, you will be getting slower rates in everything. (Proft, effigies, charms, slayer xp).

The reason I ask this is because I'm trying to achieve 99 summoning by the time I reach 99 slayer. For me, training slayer also trains Summoning, since I collect charms along the way. I like killing two birds with one stone when it comes to skilling. For example, I am currently training firemaking to 92 so I can use the Infernal Adze so I can train it while I woodcut Yews; I abhor Firemaking, so making it autotrain while woodcutting is a big plus for me. That's why I'm taking the time to train Firemaking to 92 first before I start woodcutting any further.

I myself don't do Hellhound tasks (blocked) for that precise reason. I only collect Gold Charms from any task that gives me space to collect them; I don't collect them at all on dragon tasks.

I have Kalphites, Black Demons, and Hellhounds currently blocked, and I do all other tasks give by Kuradal. I blocked Black Demons because I seriously dislike slaying them, even though I know they're great for Crim charms and effigies; I've done them twice, but hated doing the task the whole time.

I just don't want to reach 99 Slayer and end up needing a level or two more for Summoning; I'd rather make up for it early and get a higher Summoning level early, so I can take advantage of what it offers (Unicorn for TDS, GWD, Wolpertinger for Farming and Maging Ice Strykes, etc.). I don't mind wasting money bursting lobs for Crims, even though I'm already 99 magic.

I had 69 Slayer before I started training Summoning at all; I had no charms other than what the quest gave me, and now, through Bork and Slayer tasks, I have charms for 86 Summoning, even though I only have 83 Slayer. Will Summoning continue to be higher than Slayer? Or will Slayer eventually overcome my Summoning level, if I get an average amount of charms from all tasks I do, which is everything other than Hellhounds, Kalphites, and Black Demons?

Since Zarfots done all of the work and calculations already I will just link to you his guide, since i'd only be copying it from there.

RSOF Quick find code: 98-99-600-61329204

Kuradels Task List

Aberrant spectres

Abyssal demons

Aquanites

Black demons

Black dragons

Bloodvelds

Blue dragons

Dagannoths

Dark beasts

Desert strykewyrms

Dust devils

Fire giants

Gargoyle

Greater demon

Hellhound

Ice strykewyrm

Iron dragon

Jungle strykewyrm

Kalphites

Living Rock Creatures

Mithril dragon

Nechryael

Skeletal Wyvern

Spiritual mage

Steel dragon

Suqah

Terror dog

TzHaar

TzHaar Fight Cave creatures (Slayer Challenge)

Warped tortoise

You can scroll through the guide and look at the relative ratio of each task - and you can filter the ones you do.

It is more than likely you'll end up with similar levels, if not more slayer xp.
