So they are leaving the Chaos Tunnels where they are?

That's [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]ed.

Why don't they just hand over the whole [bleep]ing game to the griefers?

You do know there's a safe entrance in varrock right?

However, it isn't too safe and convenient spending 30 minutes going through portals just to get to black demons. Especially considering the portals like to randomly teleport you way too much.

Have fun in taverly or edge dungeon then

“4. Are you going to be balancing some new items for use in pvp?

Since the removal of the wilderness it has been obvious that Jagex has developed weapons with PvM in mind. Some new weapons (claws/chaotic/korasi's) are severly”

For sure.

interesting

EDIT:

Are people who have started a quest going to be able to use the quest "safe zones" to run away during battle?

Most exits from the Wilderness will not allow you to use them if you are in combat.

What exactly does that mean, no teleporting or walking into a safezone while in combat? :ohnoes:

Icedrop,

“Why have you made summoning MORE powerful by allowing it but not penalising those who use it by deciding not for it not to increase their level?”

That’s quite a tough question and so Mark will be answering that in more detail in an upcoming dev blog.

WOOT, if level 48s felt hard done by when I one hit them with titan, gl level 36s

Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod!

"How will you be able to differentiate from someone giving a gift to their friends as opposed to someone completing a real world trade transaction?"

"We have a specialist team of people who deal with cheating all day long, they have excellent tools at their disposal and can tell very easily the difference between people who are RWT and those who are just trading to friends.

Genuine players who wish to give things away have nothing to be worried about!"

Jagex's specialist team = trained monkeys sitting in a room constantly pressing banhammer?

Pretty much. I see answers about "knowing the difference between RWTing and gifting" but that to me is a load of crap. They'd probably go by people's friends lists, or how they obtained the money, or ips of suspicious gifters. All of which can be evaded quite easily.

Lol...dear jagex, wtf?? Runescape was already fairly balanced until they re-introduced this annoying update. I'm not annoyed by the free trade aspect, seeing as it'll allow me to now give friends better xmas gifts than before, but the old wild? The wildy used to be luxurious for my slayer tasks. I'd simply equip my stuff at one of the 2 banks, then head off and get massive amounts of slayer xp. With it gone, they're more or less destroying my only real fun 'shot' at a skill cape....I guess its back to afking ivy and red dragons...

Can you trade between your own accounts, if you need to switch over money and loot?

No, that's still going to be against the rules.

Is item trading between two self-owned accounts allowed now? Will such players get banned? Or will the rules be relaxed?

That is still against the rules but it is something we are looking at for now take it that trading between accounts you own is not allowed, if we change this we will let everyone know.

I so hope that they don't change it.

Lol...that'd be such a bad idea if they do...just imagine "dear jagex, I would like to transfer all my items from zezima to lv3nubacc. I don't have the p/w to zezima, and the ip adresses don't match, but that doesn't matter...right?"

Looks like if I'm going to do a task in the chaos tunnels I'll just have to bring a brew and a shark and just run to the portal that isn't far into the wild... You guys act as if every world is going to have a packed full fighting area near edge.

You have this nice little area called the entire rest of runescape to slay in.

Dune Blythe has a multi-question about extreme potions and chaotic weapons.

Mod Fetzki:

I can only repeat what I said above: The reason is that you cannot *see* whether the other one has extreme potions or not, whereas it is very clear whether you are wielding a chaotic weapon or not. Summoning influences your combat level (on members worlds only) but Herblore doesn't, therefore we took the decision to exclude the extreme potions from the Wildy.

So....what happens if you go into the wild and you dont have your chaotic equiped, or if you un-equip your chaotic....does it auto bank? Thats a stupid reason to not allow extremes. And if overloads are what you are worried about....can you not see all the 100 100 100 100 100 damage you take when you drink it. I just think it's stupid to not allow stuff in the wild. Like you said....the wilderness is suppose to be dangerous. Just assume that everyone has extremes and you will be fine.

Also...we do have a stat spy spell do we not.

Basically the way its going to be is....if a lvl 125ish player has a chaotic anda 135ish players doesnt have a chaotic and cant use their extremes....it is very likely that the 120 would win

Not really, the 135 is still 10 combat levels ahead and theres nothing stopping him from getting his own chaotic, just like theres nothing stopping the 125 (or 120, whatever you decide on) from getting extremes.

So a 125's averages......92att, 92str, 92def, 92hp, 70pray, 88sum.....with chaotic

couldnt beat a

135's averages......98att, 98str, 98def, 98hp, 92pray, 88sum....with say a whip or gs

I'm just saying there is no reason to ban extremes from the wilderness.

Are you kidding? Unless HP is increased substantially, there is plenty of reasons to ban them from the wild. They're banned now for the same reason. People are hitting so high as to two hit people. And if the HP adding armor is hard to get (I haven't checked its price) it's unlikely most people will even use it in the wild.

I say this as someone who can make extremes at a low combat, too.

Why? Its good being able to trade loot onto your main...

Also does gving 1 mill for free to a friend count as rwt? is it allowed? if it is then how will they be able to tell the difference between to friends and two accounts will they look into, e.g the ips adresses?

If I recall correctly, they will indeed look at IP adresses. And btw no, giving gifts to a friens does not count as rwt.

EDIT: after reading the above posted reasons for not allowing extremes and ovls, it seems that the sole reason they aren't allowed is because the other party can't know if you are using them. Can't they just make a graphical effect which indicates that a player has drunk an extreme potions (something like a glow/aura/image above head) which resolves when all boosted stats are below the level they would be boosted to with regular super pots? (Or, of course, apply different effects for different grades of potions, because as of today other players also can't see that you're using super pots or any pot at all for that matter.)

There is no way to justify banning extremes.

"You can't see them"......No one can tell you have a chaotic if you dont have it equipped. Also, you can use the stat spy to see if they are boosted.

Jagex says that the "wilderness is suppose to be a dangerous area" for people that want to go up there for clues and such, but they want to make it less dangerous by taking out extremes.

You still need to equip the chaotic to be able to use it in a fight though. Don't get me wrong; I'm pro-extremes, I just don't see think that's a valid argument.
