55 Magic; 10 HP?

Is it possible to get 55+ magic with only 10HP anymore? Or will it take a really long time? I've noticed that you can't cast on dummies anymore, and you can't cast the same thing on the same monster for a certain period of time. Anyone know of a way to get it? Or will I just need to do it the very long and slow way?

It's doable - but whether or not it's viable is a whole other question.

 

you just need to get it to lvl 3 then cast confuse

 

And witches potion quest or whatever it is called should get you that. Also, what actually stops you from casting the same thing on the same monster for a certain period of time?

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

You mean just wearing full rune/metal armor and then failing every time?

Like, when I cast confuse, It won't let me do it more than once on an enemy for a certain period of time. I did Imp Catcher and Witches Potion - So i have Level 10 Magic, but I don't want health exp so I can only use spells like confuse, weaken, curse, bind, etc.

Wear full melee armour, so you fail more, letting you cast more. Practice on something that there is a high volume of (ducks, goblins, etc.).

train on the zamorak monk in varrock castle in full iron armor. dont wield a staff if youre using combat spells. once your like -60 magic attack youll never hit. plus the monk has high magic defense.

Well if you always fail, then you would never get HP xp I think...You only get that xp if you do damage I'm pretty sure.

 

This is correct. Curses and binds don't give Constitution even if they do hit. And damaging spells won't give any Constitution exp as long as they don't hit. Additionally if i remember correctly, a -64 magic attack bonus is the threshold that guarantees that you won't hit a combat spell. This will need confirming though.

Yes it is -64. Use the highest curse spell you can get to.

Full iron works just as well. Dragonhide vambraces have -10 magic attack too, but I'm not sure if normal leather ones do.

 

Full iron is -30 for the plate, -21 for the legs, -8 for the kite, -6 for the helmet. That's -65. If you can get -10 from those vambraces, or a few points less from boots/amulet/cape/ring you can use an earth/water staff to save a little money.

Well, i currently have enough runes for 55 magic(using curse and what not), and I still have well over 2M with around 5k Uncooked swordfish that I'm going to begin cooking soon. So money really isn't much of an issue right now

You don't gain hp xp if you don't do damage.

 

You can put on iron and an air staff and splash air strike on the lesser demon in the wizards tower.. Less clicking then curses

Anyone know of a F2P cape, amulet/necklace, or gloves that give negative magic attack? I need about -7 more to have -65, and I am using an earth staff. ( can't really get more earth runes because I don't really want to spend around 300k on all the earth runes i need)

You might try just plain old leather vambs since you don't have the 40 range required for green d'hide vambs that should do the trick...and if you're just cursing you technically don't need to hit -65 mage bonus if you're cursing the zammy mage that's caged in the varrock castle as it's got high mage def as it is. I know this for a fact as was able to completely splash train on him on my 10hp even with a mudstaff equipped.
