Isthatok
Suddenly I'm seeing that way too often, especially with scammers. I'm not actually sure if free trade was worth it anymore. I think the Grand Exchange without limits is good enough. I don't want to stand by and see people get scammed, and I'm not going to let those idiots get away, but at the same time I could be doing other things. Anyone else feel the same? ~PM me and I'll do my best to make you a signature!~

Wessan
It is an effect seen in all areas, not just RS bringing back Free Trade. The luring and scamming will be very prominent for awhile and then settle down. It is the same when a company such as Google goes public on the stock market, it goes to ridiculous heights and then begins to level off somewhere. I dont know where the scamming will level off, but I will predict you will not be noticing it for as long as you think.

Content
I don't feel the same, the best we can hope is that people develop some common sense and adapt to the fact that we won't always be coddled and taken care of. Do I feel bad? sure, but if you're dumb enough to get scammed in RS (w/o glitches of course) then consider it training for the real world, and be happy it only happened in RS. curtis95112
Meh, everyone should know the scams/lures. A guy offered me 200k to appear on a 'video' of his. I took half the money up front. He does the whole D baxe drop thing, I laugh and tell him I'm not interested in items with a high alch value and thank you for the 100k. It's hilarious when they fail so bad. The populations will educate itself through trial-and-error, the stupid will learn or die out, and scamming won't be that large of an issue. Give it a few weeks. LitterBug
Many of these scams are actually in part glitches. The other ones aren't that obviously - it's not like a lot of people get scammed by the "trimming rune armour" or things to that nature. Some of these scams are quite elaborate and I've seen multiple people who only wanted to act as a good Samaritan get owned. I would have less qualms if it's just some greedy guy who gets scammed but it's disturbing to see guys who are quite nice and just want to help get owned in the process. I like RS better without the free trade/wildy (not that I really mind) but a lot of people are getting scammed - and having free trade/wildy really halted a lot of that. They should just make staking limitless. Articultural
That would cause more scams between people trying to trade items for their actual price, seeing how Jagex refuse to improve the way the GE updates prices.
Quenya
In 2 years lots of new players have joined Runescape. They may not be as knowledgeable as you and I were back when Free Trade was around. Over time Runescape will do many guides, news & information on how not to fall for scams. It takes time to teach this to people. it's just the rush of Free Trade, once it's been a few months it should calm down.. Thanks, Quenya
Neltak
I only see that when dealing with botters. Scammers you can avoid/prevent getting scammed from. Botters are just annoying cheats. And since I've been fm'ing outside Varrock west bank I've been seeing quite a few bots. Guess Jagex's bot detection is still amazing. But on the topic of scammers...I did have one guy ask me if he could borrow 1.3m for a dragon hatchet. Funny thing is when I tried lending him one he declined. <_<

Fools_Taco
Fair trade and the GE limits was a failed experiment. Who cares if morons get scammed. Limitting what we can do ingame because some people are dumb is a silly move. Dont look at it as people getting scammed... look at it as education for dumb people. The rest of us having to put up with fair trade and all the crap that comes with it because a small number of people are to dumb to play runescape is not the way to go. Its like buying an airplane to get free peanuts...
