Sir_Squab
Well, once your defense is semi-high, fighting monks is a great way to train. Eh, AFK-able anyways. With low offense, which a real def pure will have, those things just don't die. On the other hand, with high enough def, you won't either. Squab unleashes Megiddo! At 60 defense i can guarantee you won't need armor for them. Only two iron bars and a hammer to smith an iron scimitar on the island. I checked Runewiki, and it states that the ones on Entrana still heal themselves. Then Entrana is most likely the best place to AFK train. Also, you're apparently able to bring a most jewelery. So a combat bracelet and strength amulet wouldn't go amiss. However, training here would rule out being able to use sacred clay items for bonus experience. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005. Quyneax
I think Conquest and Soul Wars would end up being better xp. With 1 strength and good gear your max is still so low (21 using defensive and +50 str gear) that you can expect maybe 5k xp/hr. You need 3100 pest points to go from 60 to 75. You can get at least 40/hr (210 xp each at level 60 with a 10% bonus for turning in 100, so 231) which is over 9k xp/hr. You can also get just over 3k xp per zeal at Soul Wars, so that'd be even faster if you can win often enough. Quyneax
Defence pures are actually really good at pking - bone dagger > dfs is lethal to obby maulers (one defence one attack, good fight versus 75 defence and 250 crush defence). A summoning tank is even stronger.
