Uzamak1
Anyone know what the strategy to gain commendation points are? Only want to save up to buy armour (Excluding deflector) for when I die at Nex.
PereGrin
Play. You gain commendations regardless of wins or losses. If you want to win then runewiki has pretty much all the strategys. I use 2 champs, an archer, a mage, rest scouts. Comands: battle cry, charge, chastise, and stoicism.
pitabread189
Playing pest control is probably better. But I'm not sure. BBK
Watch this vid, I was having problems then after seeing this I won almost every game. but if you really don't care about deflector you don't have to worry about whether you win or lose anyway
Quyneax
That's an extremely outdated video. Champions have less health now, which means they will now be one-hit by knights. Halberds are much nicer. green9090
I used to play with a full team of halberds when I was going for deflector. They're cheap and can attack any melee unit (excluding halberds, of course) without retaliation, which makes them absurdly good for trolling champions and knights, and they can one-hit mages and archers. Battle cry, shield wall, vigilance, and charge are good commands for utilizing halberds. I'm not sure if good counter-measures have been developed for that strategy yet, haven't played in months. Th e Doctor
Seeing as you're not getting the deflector (why?) Its worth noting that PC with a clan is faster than conquest for commendations. And if you're nexing you obviously have the stats to get into a good PC clan. Halberds are much nicer. Doesn't matter. If you know a knight can reach you you can shield wall/battle cry/stoicism. 100 hp loss didn't make much difference they can still 1 hit any unit, 2-3 champ teams still dominate unless the opponent has an anti champ setup (lots of hallys)
Quyneax
It does matter. Your champion can no longer tank all hits, which makes them decidely weak. No proper knight player would have trouble threatening two champions or using chastise - the bane of champions. swagcake
wtf i thought conquest was just rs version of chess Go Chicago Bears! BBK
The only thing that can 1 hit champs is knights or other champs with battlecry. If you know what you're doing its easy to stay out of range of them if you know they have a battlecry ready, or if they can reach you just put on sheild wall or stoicism. It's a strategic game theres no one way to play and every setup has a setup that can defeat it, personally with 3 champs the only people that usually beat me were people with lots of hallys. Knights are essentially a half price champion with less dmg and hp I wouldn't use them over champs but really it comes down to however you like to play. Chastise is not a problem if you have a sheild wall ready, you can just use that turn to move up another champ or a scout.
Cheefoo
I didn't know they nerfed Champions! Woohoo, maybe I'll play Conquest again for some fun! However, it would mean having to sacrifice my "1337" rating... Completely stupid rule that overpowers champions, but there you are.
