Getting overloads

Okay, so I've been purposely waiting for a Bonus XP Weekend to train herblore, and I currently have 65 - and I'm hoping to hit around 91 or 92 if possible...

 

Can anyone tell me what the best way to go from 65-92? I will have about 40M to spend - possibly a bit more.

 

Otherwise, if thats not enough, what should I do to 85?

do you have any materials already? or are you buying them, knowing that i could tell you if you could get to 92, if you dont have any or alot of materials, you wont be able to get to 92, but 85 is more plausible.

but anyway its really a choice of:

make the best pot you can to maximise boost

make roughly equal numbers of super att, str and def plus magic and ranging pots.

Since they are then used to make extreme att str def ranged and mage which in turn make overloads.

 

Also herb + water is sucky xp so you wanna stock up on the unfs rather than the herbs and vials.

Have you bought any supplies yet? At the moment most pots are between 20-35 gp/xp (normal xp, not the total bonus xp). Also, even though you're given a gp/xp rate, that's assuming you buy all the started items and then sell the pot at the end (so if you need everything at once for xp weekend it'll probably be more like 50+gp/xp for most pots, until you sell the pots after the weekend and hope they don't crash).

 

In terms of pots to make, prayer pots are ok at the moment, the higher xp pots are quite a bit more gp/xp. If you want to get the most xp out of your money you probably want to make serum 207 (need shades of mor'ton) which are about 1gp/xp atm. They only get you 50 xp per pot, but they don't rely on you having to sell the pot after (you just need one free bak space) so you get the most out of your money (in terms of having the most herb xp banked ready for xp weekend) ~

 

Downside is they'll be slower xp meaning your timer will go down more, I think the pros probably outweight the cons with 40m though (anyone feel free to prove me wrong, cba doing the maths atm :P) EDIT: actually thats 40k pots, maybe the extra cost won't balance the lost in bonus xp

According to Grimys spreadsheet, Super Restores going from Unf. to potion (with scroll of cleansing) is about 16gp/xp and is about 300k xp an hour.. Should I do those for the first hour or 2 to get the most out of the 2x and then swap over to a cheaper method; maybe prayer pots or super attacks and do those from there on?

 

EDIT - No supplies bought yet - as I'm not exactly sure what I should buy just yet..

Fair enough, I was using another website which hasn't updated to new g.e. prices and says sup restores are 28 :/

 

They could be good, but you can only buy ingredients for 2500-3k pots at a time (then you'll have to sell pots and rebuy ingredients). It could be a good 'blast' of herb xp though for the first hour or so, until you've bought back more ingredients

 

That blast should get you almost 1m xp (with a 2.6x multiplier) and about lvl 76 (not including seconds saved with scroll of cleanising, and herbs if you're making unfs)

The best way is to do a cheap-yet-fast pot to 82 (no such pot really, you'll have to compromise :P), then:

 

4k spec recover and 500-1k superantifire, 2.5k each of extreme attack and strength, 2k extreme defence and magic, 2.5k extreme ranged then overloads, making new mage and def pots when you have made 2k (should be 93 or 94 herblore by then).

No, especially not with BXPW prices and stuff, but it's not that hard to figure it out. You're getting over 3m xp (not counting making the overloads) which is going to cost you over 100m, less if you do it on the xp weekend of course.

From past experience, the prices of stuff plummet a day or two before the weekend starts, so you may want to wait until then to buy your stuff to get the most xp for your money.

I'll most likely need to buy most of it a few days before so hopefully things do go down. lol
