Those are my skills. I have 94 cooking as my highest and 93 fish and my second I want to get attack or strength up to 99 but everytime I do i'll stay on for almost 2-3 hours and its almost like I never trained at all. Man I wanna say strength first to 99 I went to bandets

for along time and its like I never even get close to another level yet so many people have 99's like its nothing lmao I won't take any botting suggestions lmao just a way to help me get to 99 in something:p

It just takes time. 2-3 hours really isn't much. Don't rush for it, get it as it comes. Just train here and there, and you'll have it without getting burned out.

Getting a 99 for the sake of it won't be as good as just playing and getting one when you get one. Do what you enjoy, they will come with time.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Find a skill you truly enjoy. Personally, I think that's the best way to get your first 99. Don't be like all of the noobs who get 99 fletching just so they can say they have a cape.

I loved slayer, so I got 99 slayer as my "first" 99 (I got 99 melees and constitution before that, but those were byproducts of 99 slayer).

Just do what you enjoy, and you'll get there.

I found the best way to stay "on task" was to set smaller goals. So instead of 90-99 attack for instance, it was 90-92, then 92-94 etc. If you reach a goal and feel you need to change it up, go train something else, then come back :D

Alright, thanks im gonna do some dungeons because its only lvl 4 sense I quit for awhile. But thanks for the advice I think for a skill I truly enjoy would probably result in fishing even though its more of the boring skills just because you can sit and chat with all the others. Who are usually pretty nice:D

Do Defender of Varrock? After that, just go semi-afk/multi-tasks at Armoured Zombies. Sooner or later, 99 in one/all your Melee skills.

Used full Guthan helps a lot if you don't want to keep banking for foods. Pot atk/def/str helps too.

Anyway, Good luck on your 99's.

Is defender of varrock hard or anything? and I have full guthans just the spear doesn't train str I thought or are you saying keep it in my inv and use it just to heal up? And i'll surely use str pots and thanks:D

Don't force-train to 99. Just do something like slayer to 99 over the course of a good deal of time, because it atleast gives some variety than just camping something boring for hours on end. 99 slayer easily brings in 99 melees, hp, and possibly range + summoning depending on your slay style. Whatever you do, switch it up so that you don't burn yourself out.

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Effigy skills are pretty good to train to 99, as you can set goals of two levels at the time and celebrate the effigy stages. Summoning also has some useful familars at many levels, dungeoneering has new floors. Things like fletching, cooking and firemaking have nearly no useful content, let alone useful content at higher levels, so I wouldn't recommend training them until you need them for maxed total or something.

If you get into dungeoneering you may well find that you can get twice the xp to 99 with nearly no effort.

Effigy skills are in this case skills used to open effigies, as you might have inferred from the 'celebrate effigy stages' part of my post.

inb4 standard post. Oh wait.

Duradel/Lapalok until 75, then Kuradal.

The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets):

  • [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip)
  • Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top)
  • [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3
  • Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune)
  • Dragon boots (rune boots)
  • Amulet of fury (glory)
  • Dragon defender (rune defender)
  • Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring)
  • [Most important] Full slayer helmet.
  • [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps)
  • [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear)
  • [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword)
  • Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes
  • Cannon (optional, up to personal preference)

Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit).

Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better.

Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning):

  • 68 summoning - bunyip
  • 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier
  • 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires
  • 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split
  • 88 summoning - unicorn
  • 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload
  • 99 summoning - steel titan

I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.

Find a skill you truly enjoy. Personally, I think that's the best way to get your first 99. Don't be like all of the noobs who get 99 fletching just so they can say they have a cape.

Honestly, even if you 99 you'll feel like training half the skills after anyway so it's not like there's any hurry. However, at the same time, I've found that I enjoyed skills a lot more after 99'ing them, such as slaying >_>
