Rings for slayer?

After this RoW update I'm a little bit confused about what ring to wear for slayer. Some people are suggesting that RoW is better than a Ferocious Ring in Kuradels Dungeon, and also better than a Zerker Ring outside of the dungeon. Any thoughts?

Wear berserker, switch to RoW before kill.

No offence, but I can't be bothered to switch every kill, so I guess Fero ring for Kuradels Dungeon and RoW for everything else.

I kinda panicked when I saw the rare drops all around :P. But as the ring of wealth doesn't make a large difference still, you can get the good drops without one, I'd just use your berserker ring.

Previously, the row affected drop rates of fairly bad drops: dragonstones, shield halves, dragon spears, 100 silver ores. The update didn't make the ring do much more (I think) but added some valuable drops to the rare drops table.

It also makes some random new drops, such as Abby demons dropping 100 noted yews, and Dragon daggers.

Thank you for clearing that up, for now people can truly comprehend, to their fullest aptitude, what I wished to say.

Someone mentioned that you could only get the Vecnan Skull by killing monsters with RoW equipped.

However, going by Crossed Body's picture in the screenies thread, I'd say that this is not the case.

The RoW does affect certain slayer drops (like the whip most obviously) and also boosts your chance at a rare drop if you manage to roll into the rare drop table.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Last night while killing dark beasts, I noticed that you don't have to have the ring of wealth equipped before the killing blow, but rather before the system gives out the drop. Those that do want to do a ring switch may find that usefull for monsters with long death animations like dark beasts.

I noticed the same when I did a few late switches at an abby demon task today.

If you don't want to keep switching between rings - I suggest taking ROW on cannonable tasks.

Beserker ring wouldn't really help your cannon's accuracy - and it might be a little worth while.

Just wondering - has anybody seen any crazy noted drops at either cave crawlers/black demons?

If it's crazy enough - you might actually profit cannoning (without banking the ashes for black demons) and picking up notes.

Sounds like a decent way to level combat/grab some effigies

monsters do you have to be wearing the row or are they

new drops added to the monster drop list?

Seems the general consensus from people I know who slay a lot is to continue to use Ferocious Ring in Kuradal's Dungeon and the Berserker Ring or Berserker Ring (i) for any outside her Dungeon. You can still get the drops without the RoW equipped and even with the RoW equipped they're not all that common.
