This is a World War One crate I made for a game

 

512 x 512 Diffuse , Specular , Normal maps.

 

Programs used:

 

Maya 2011 for Modelling , AO baking , Uvmapping

 

 

Photoshop : Texturing

 

Crazybump: Normal mapping.

I can't help but feel the the box looks a tad fake looking, where the wood joins together. I love the lighting though. It's great to have a skilled 3D artist on Tip.it.

My thoughts exactly.

 

Perhaps try lowering the edge a bit, if you get what I mean.

Uhh, it's a box.

 

There's not a lot that can really go wrong with it. The texturing is pretty good I guess, but there's so little geometry that texture mapping isn't exactly a huge feat. Unless Maya still doesn't have automatic UV unwrapping? :razz:
