Duel arena glitch and scam. Do not play until jagex fixes.

Do not play in the duel arena. There is a way for people to fight you and risk nothing. If they get behind they will log out. You then stay in game for 15 min and you get a draw and your money returned.

I know the details but I won't say them as I son't want to encourage ppl try it but I will say do not make big bets in the duel arena.

Pretty fail. Missed out on a 550M boxing win.

the glitchers say it was patched but it obviously is not if they are still doing it today. Be warned.

If this is the only glitch going on in the duel arena right now, why wouldn't you go stake? Like you said, you can end it in a draw and get your stuff back, so it's not like there is any bigger risk than normal. If you lose, you would have lost whether there was a glitch or not. If your opponent doesn't know the glitch and you win, then you make some money. Better than just not staking and having no chance of winning at all.

Does 6 hour autolog activate in duels?

I think it probably does

The reason not to stake is because you risk the same (as you say, whether you lose or not is not affected by this glitch) but the reward is less (because some people will use the glitch). Same risk, less reward -> less worth it. This isn't really hard to figure out.

Less reward still isn't a reason to not do something. Less reward is still more than no reward, which is what you would get if you just stopped staking, which was the whole point of my post. That really wasn't that hard to figure out.

Except that, you know, you could do something else (that doesn't have temporarily reduced rewards) that you wanted to do anyways for the couple of days before this gets fixed. Therefore, when you stake after that, the time you spent on staking is more efficiently spent because guess why? Better rewards. Think about it before being a smartass.

All some people do is stake. Theres not other things that they want to do for days, so other than staking, they would be doing nothing. So even though the reward they will be getting is less, it is still better than nothing. But come now, no need to turn this thread into a pointless flame war with your name calling and general [wagon]-attitude. (I say you have an [wagon] attitude because you couldn't have a simple discussion without being a condescending [puncture].)

I don't see what the problem is with telling us what the glitch is, if anything you're informing people about what to look out for so they don't get scammed. And if people do use the glitch, well then they'll take the risk of getting banned. But you keeping us in the dark isn't doing us any favors, and seeing how people are already using the glitch anyway word will get out.

Apparently one glitch right now in dds stakes, as illustrated in this video is dropping unidentified vials. The idea is to stall long enough so that your opponent will die by the poison, however as you can see it is easily countered by opening a stat window:

No idea if it's fixed or not but it's something to look out for.

Everyone other than a few hopeless, disregardable RS junkies have other things to do than staking - if nothing else, something IRL-related. Also, you are the one overloading the censor, and other than "smartass" I didn't call you names. Just reinstating this post since it got deleted, despite being mostly on-topic. For good measure I'll throw in an extra bit of on-topic content:

AMJ, are you quitting the RS because of this?

Who or what is AMJ and what the hell is this post about?

Lol at the guy saying to keep staking?

If you stake right now and you lose woopity. But if you were in a stake and are winning and the guy logs out you are out the win.

The duel arena is glitched right now and youll be scammed if you bet big.

If you continue to play until this happens then you were warned and you deserve to lose your stakes.

There is no way to know that they are glitching until they log out at the end of the fight.

It involves a team of scammers and an in game item. You won't know that they did it unless you are winning an d they log.

Goodluck. I reported it on RSOF but you are the people that need to be aware.

Mr keep stakign guy, after you don';t get a 500m win that was rightfully yours come back here and tell me how you think its all cool.

expected value of staking normally: 50% win 50% loss +/- your own ability

expected value of staking now (let's say 10% of stakers know the bug): 45% win 5% draw 50% loss +/- your own ability

assuming average ability, staking is now an expected loss unless you know the bug

and that is why you wouldn't stake right now.

Lol the mage staking obstacle exploit has been around for years and that one never got fixed.

Retired

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

Thanks for the tip :) Ill be avoiding the duel arena for a while then. Keep at my dging lol.

Why do they get refunded in this case, but when somebody ddos's you, you still/always lose?

This there is no clear winner, you are just stuck in there until you hit the time limit. With a ddos you bring down there net basically acting the same as hitting the red x on your browser which keeps them still logged in, allowing you free shots at them.
