Snowpelt
I know its sad, I quit rs recently for some of the same reasons. Most people think its a rash thing to do and that I was overreacting, but I game when so many people cheat... Its not worth saving. Jegex don't care about what people do in rs anymore, that's why they but the filter in, so its legal to swear and they would stop getting flooded with offensive language reports. Runescapes time has come and gone. Yes most of the game is still playable, but with the community so bad its not worth it anymore.

jetset516a
How does a group of high level players in one spot guarantee they are all botting? I think there's a lot more whining about botting than actual botting.
Adammm
Yes; a lot of people bot. But just because regular non-botting players are training at that spot doesn't mean they are botters. My skiller was recently f2p and i would talk to see if anyone was botting. Suprisingly; the majority wasn't. They were responding instantly. Ryannator
Yeah the botting has been getting a little out of control recently. It's just progressively getting worse.. I really hope they do decide to do something about it.

They were responding instantly.Right ... implying you can't run a bot and keep an eye on it to see if people are talking to you at the same time. Most people are aware of that incredible and largely stupid method of checking if someone bots. Hence people who do bot will just respond and talk once in a while, while people who are there not botting may have their public off and get called a bot. This conversation has been done over a thousand times. In a nutshell, Jagex blows and never did have a plan for bots. Truthscape Lover
AmberPyre
How does a group of high level players in one spot guarantee they are all botting? He must be jealous of them because they're higher level than he is. ---As for the main post: Bot are everywhere, yes. But really, if anything, they are no more than just accounts walking around. They affect the human player directly in no way whatsoever and actually, the barrage of selling items means reduced prices on everyday training gear. And, they give Jagex revenue, because most of the bots are, in fact, paid accounts. If they banned the bots, they'd lose as much as they did, or even more, during the Pay2PK riot. So, really, just play the game, and ignore the bots. They are a part of Runescape, always have been (I think) and always will be.
Jaffy1
How does a group of high level players in one spot guarantee they are all botting? He must be jealous of them because they're higher level than he is. Actually, at the fishing spot location for example, you can tell because before they released free trade that spot was always empty. No-one in their right mind would train there, which in turn makes it a good place to bot since no actual player would be there to report you. As for the topic of this thread: that is exactly why I was against the return of wilderness/free trade update. <_< Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. Ego
Back to the good ol' default yew bots. At least they're keeping Pure Essence prices down, in that way it's beneficial to me.But yes, Jagex needs to keep it under control.I do like that free trade is back though, I missed it. Akura
I say that people are always going to try and cheat and gain the upper hand in any sort of game you play. You really have to accept this fact. However if they are willing to Get banned for botting why should that concern every one so much. They rarely affect your own xp and essentially they do all the boring inefficient tasks (such as mining ess) as well as keeping the price down and eventually they just get banned. I just wish that people would stop raging about something that really doesnt affect them and even in some ways makes the game more enjoyable for legitimate players who dont have to do all the grinding them selves because the price of an item is through the roof.
