Derrick44444
Need to know what to train on. Training on fire giants to afk my melee stats up. Haven't played in a couple years so i'm pretty lost nowadays. Right now my gear is Full Guthans, Klank's Gauntlets, D Boots, and a ROW. I've got a little bit of cash to spend. Maybe 5mil or so. Got a DH top and bottom i could sell as well. Any help is appreciated. StatsAtk: 81Def: 73Str: 78Pry: 59Hp: 79 Wc'ing my way to 99 (Wish me luck)
Nomrombom
Try doing Defender of Varrock quest and getting Armored Zombies. Or you could do slayer. And upgrade the gauntlets, Klank's are outdated. Do Recipe for Disaster and get the gloves from the chest. Much better. PM me for fitocracy invite
Derrick44444
Kinda limited on time. Deployed in afghanyland right now. So if i'm on i'm on facebook and running rs in the background doing afk crap. Sometimes I'll get a day off and not have anything to do and thats once in a blue moon but i don't really wanna devote that much attention to questing. Maybe when i get back from this country if you wanna call it that. Any other alternatives to the gloves from RFD? Th e Doctor
Only alternatives would be the FoG gauntlets, but they really don't compare. Fire giants are terrible exp/hr at any level. For the best exp/hr you're going to want to be training on an undead monster with a salve ammy (e) as well as getting 70 prayer for piety and using that as well. That with your best str boosts/full void. Armoured zombies are ideal for this due to the use of an altar right by it, but lack the ability to use extreme potions (using the altar is in "wilderness" and so you lose the extreme boost down to a super boost). Other options would be the zombie monkeys on ape atoll. Sell the dh top and bottom unless you plan on using the full set at ape atoll zombie monkeys. Also sell guthans as there are much better healing options (enhanced excalibur or a bunyip for example). Use the money to get a berserker ring and 70 prayer. Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
TheSpecialOne
like someone said armoured zombies are best but if your overseas in the Afghanistan (+1 respect for serving your country) you can do slayer is you get to kill lots of different mobs and makes some cash in the meantime :)

Awesome for many things (especially for afk-ing)Fire giants (may be a little hard to afk for you at the moment) However, I would advise - questing a bit (the simple ones - like the ones that unlock summoning) and do some slayer.Go get some charms and throw all your lamps/penguin points/what not into summoning. Getting 68 unlocks bunyips which = pretty nice healingWith this, you can afk a LOT more and feel a little safer when doing so.I find that even when fighting monsters level ~100 or so, a bunyip + my regen bracelet is enough for the most part.Sometimes, it requres you to pray melee or something but it really only takes a few minutes to get your hp back up before you can turn them off
Derrick44444
I'm not gonna mess with summoning. Wasn't playing when they released it so i haven't a clue what its about. Not to mention it'd probably require me paying attention more than I feel like. Is the zerker ring really worth the cash over a row? Been trying to train on Firegiants and Ankous. Firegiants drops are better. Seems the ankous blood and death runes drop rates aren't what they were two years ago. I can afk both easy with guthans. I rarely drop under 700hp for any amount of time. Any replacement to the Obby cape? Think i'll try the salve amulet when training against ankous. Appreciate all the help guys. EDIT Think I'm just gonna start doing slayer tasks to kill two birds with one stone. Idk what penguin points even are man... Been away from this game for over two years now. Th e Doctor
Yes berserker is worth it over a RoW. RoW should be placed in your bank and left there until you retire. And if you're afk training why do you care about drops? Ankou will be waaay more exp/hr reducing the time it takes to get the stats you'd need to kill something that will actually make decent money. Summoning you just do a quest for, and then collect "charms" when monsters die to use for training later. Not training it now is silly, as you're killing things that drop charms that you will wish you would have gotten later. You don't have to train now, but you should collect charms now. Best cape upgrades for you will be a fire cape or and ardy cape or a SW cape. Ardy cape is the easiest to get. Edit Make sure to do the smoking kills quest asap. Peng points are gained from "spying" on penguins disguised all over runescape (as things such as shrubs and such). These points are traded in at the ardy zoo for 25xskill level exp in a skill of your choice. Derrick44444
Yeah I'm collecting the charms so I have the resources to train it later. Idk why i care about drops just do. Mostly about the big bones. I'll actually pick those up for prayer xp. Almost lvl 60 and haven't paid for a bit of xp yet. Trying to collect a decent amount of runes to train mage with ancients later. Done the quest already yet to change my spellbook once. I'll probably buy a berserker ring. Gonna pass on the fire cape. Don't think i can get the ardy cape without doing a quest or two. Wc'ing my way to 99 (Wish me luck)
LitterBug
you might as well try to do queststhey're great ways to level up and unlock some of the nicer things in the game
Nomrombom
If you want to spend the cash on a berserker, that's fine, but it really doesn't make a ton of difference except in the very long run. Plus some row drops are now worth up to tens of mils. PM me for fitocracy invite

Most people just see an increase in coins/gems when they use it.

Yes, but there's a much higher chance to get the rare, valuable drops (like 2.5k brews) PM me for fitocracy invite
