Dire_Wolf
What is causing Ranarr seed/Prayer potions and similar to drop in price? Anyone knows? Ranarr is not part of Rare drop table that was introduced with Ring of wealth, so it does not make sense if it's that.
Amethyst_Gem
sorceress' garden bots. ^Same as almost every other herb.
Krampell
Lots and lots of bots at sorceress garden.Ranarr seeds are a lot cheaper, meaning more people farm them. I'm sure there are a lot more reasons, but thats the ones I can think of.
Dire_Wolf
I see. So main factor is Soceress garden bot. Thanks guys

Amethyst_Gem
If all the worlds were like w117 on that vid there would probably be about a million less ranarr (and millions less of every other herb) entering the game every day. lol. P.S. apparently the number of them is slightly lower now :)

BioIce
Eliminating the wild and free trade in F2P will cut off a majority of the bots, dumping the bot problem on members' laps with the added benefit of said removed features from F2P. The pure essence nerf all those years ago cut off a large majority of F2P bots and dumped the bot problem on members worlds. (I think, there may have been tons of P2P bots before that happened.) I find it ironic that you would say something like after a bunch of posts talking about MEMBER bots bringing down the price of MEMBERS ONLY items.... As much as we hate bots, I'm not going to be one to complain about cheaper prayer potions or cheaper dragon bones. As for the wilde/free trade, it was originally removed because of the credit card fraud associated with RWT, and the Credit Card companies threatening to cut Jagex off because of it. Jagex has dealt with that particular issue, in part due to China making gold-farming illegal and due to alternative methods of payment for membership. I've reached the point where I realize how grindy RS is, and although I wouldn't risk my own account botting, I don't blame botters for doing so. The real issue behind botting, and the only way to remove it, is to address how grindy RS is in the first place. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. Why would you eliminate the wildy + free trade? It makes more sense if you're a successful gold farmer to bot in members anyhow.A member can definitely earn more then 5-6 dollars worth of gold in a month to cover the cost of the membership. To see what happens. That's what I'm interested in. Only reason I'm still around after all these years is that I ask myself the question, "Let's see what happens." Heh. Anyway, if they did that but left P2P alone, maybe they'll start rigorously policing the heavily botted areas with Jmods. Yea, it's definitely better to bot in members; it's easy to get membership with all the different ways to pay now. On topic: are there any resource items that are relatively stable? Any at all? WeatherMatt
99 Herblore is cheaper than ever. Keep it that way. So is prayer and a lot of buyables.Prayer is most definitely not cheaper now. For a number of years before 2009, Dragon bones were 2k each or less. Just because almost no one bothered to train prayer past 70 until curses came out doesn't mean the skill was expensive.
