So far they've only given away 2,000 keys via Facebook and I believe they've all gone as of now but I guess more will be going out over the next few days. I got in to it and am enjoying it so far. It's basically like War of Legends, Civilization and Age of Empires had a baby and there you have 8Realms. Although I guess that's simplifying it a bit. When more keys are released you should give it a go, it definitely has promise and appeals to me a lot more than War of Legends ever did (which I've played about 20 minutes of total, I've already put an hour or two into 8Realms!) I mean, in order for a game to be successful, Jagex has to realize that graphics need to be somewhat good due to competition from console games. You'd be surprised, as I said I never got into War of Legends and never saw the appeal of this but there's just something oddly fun about it. Don't dismiss it until you've tried it anyway. Well, if you compare War of Legends with games like Call of Duty.... you get what I mean. :P And well I did sign up for the beta but won't know until I get emailed. So far it feels very similar to War of Legends but perhaps that will change a bit once I start to advance through the basics. Krampell Posted May 8, 2011 Share Posted May 8, 2011 I got 8Realms beta email a few weeks ago without registering on their website, but now 5th may when it was released. I never got any further. No beta key, no nothing. I did later on the 5th register on the website for beta key but no email about it so far.And the email I got seemed really fake, clicking on any of the links lead you nowhere. Lets hope it's improved soon as the game is a lot of fun, much more than I ever expected it to be (I really didn't like War of Legends so this came as a shock to me). Guy Posted May 13, 2011 Share Posted May 13, 2011 So it's basically Travian?I played Travian for a bit.. but for me travian seemed to be a good hours work to get stuff set up, go to sleep, wake up and find you've been invaded by 2304798 people and had your village ruined and stuff taken.
