Great season finale. Some of the finest TV I've ever watched, based off of one of the finest books I've ever read. I feel some serious GoT withdrawals coming on over the next year. tripsis
The only thing I'd fault about the episode was the bit where Sam, Grenn and Pyp are gathering around Jon and speaking their oaths. Soooooo cheesy, haha. But then again I thought it was pretty cheesy in the books too.Lol I thought the same thing. I was like, "Are they really doing this?" I'd smack anyone who did that IRL. I loved this entire first season and I am so pissed that I'll have to wait ages for season 2 :P - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Napalm
So, now that it's over, general question. Who was your favourite character? I'd have to say Little finger and Tyrion Lanister, both for their intelligence and cunningness. Special mention to Jaime Lanister for his devil may care attitude. I'd have to say Little finger and Tyrion Lanister, both for their intelligence and cunningness. Special mention to Jaime Lanister for his devil may care attitude. Wow that's a tough question. For me, I've always loved Tyrion, and Dinklage played him very well (despite Tyrion in the books looking much uglier). I'll be upset if he doesn't win some awards. Khal Drogo was fantastic. After watching him, I'm now considering watching Conan The Barbarian this summer. As far as Littlefinger, I liked how the series added in the scenes with him and the Spider. It showed how they are both very cunning and untrustworthy. I'm also looking forward to next season, where Tyrion is forced to match wits with these two. I said it before and I'll say it again, they did an EXCELLENT job on casting for the show. I can't wait to see who they pick for Stannis next season. In all honesty, I can't pick a favourite character... maybe Jorah. His voice is just glorious. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the S2 cast. I think the most anticipated and important decision they'll need to make is who plays: [spoiler=Very plot-related spoilers, don't click if you haven't read Clash.]Dolorous Edd. :> [spoiler=Casting News]From his blog: "Haven't seen any auditions for Stannis yet, but I expect they are coming soon. But yes on Melisandre... and on Ygritte, Asha, Xaro Xhoan Daxos, Davos, Dolorous Edd, Margaery Tyrell, Brienne, and many more... as usual, Nina Gold has found some great actors for us." sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

You could only see his hood in the last episode. And either Rorge or the Biter looked a lot like Liam Neeson, haha. Those are the three I'm most looking forward to. Especially Jaqen.Come to think of it, how are they going to pronounce his name? I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr

I've always thought it was like Jha-ken (first bit pronounced kinda like Jacques) with H'ghar kinda like a noise in the back of the throat... not really sure how to explain it, haha. Also, Margaery Tyrell is being played by Natalie Dormer. O: sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

stevepole
I just went on a Game of Thrones marathon and watched the entire first season.. Not much of a fantasy guy, nor did I read the books but I found it to be fairly entertaining. I hope to learn more about the area north of the wall in the second season. Earth_Poet
GoT was nominated for 13 Emmys, and everybody seems to think the same as I do: Peter Dinklage deserves to win. I said I was excited to see how they portrayed Tyrion, and I was not disappointed. Has anybody started reading A Dance with Dragons yet? It will be a while before I can get around to it. If Martin can make us wait five years, then he can wait on me for a few months.

Jonanananas
The first season was aired on Tv around here, but I messed up recording the first 3 episodes :wall: Oh well, not sure if I like the german synch anyway. I'll have to see where I can get hold of the second season...looks like I'll have to use some streaming site, even though I would be willing to pay for it >.> Has anybody started reading A Dance with Dragons yet? It will be a while before I can get around to it. If Martin can make us wait five years, then he can wait on me for a few months. I have...not too excited about it. By far the weakest book in the series imo. Seemed like Martin had a lot of trouble handling the plot threads in this one - I'll just hope he is able to sort that out in Book 6 and 7. Faux
read all the books and they're all enjoyable for the most part. there are times when i want to skip though like for the chapters about daenerys and the greyjoys. most of those are nothing but fillers. HBO produces amazing stuff so i'm looking forward to the 2nd season. one case where the TV adaptation is better than the books. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Alg
So, how about that first episode? Not what I expected Davos to be like, though Melisandre was great. And, as always, [bleep] Cersei  I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
nine naked men
Goddaaaaaamn. That final scene was certainly something. The plot was moving a bit slow (expected for the first episode) and then that happened. The acting seems to have gotten so much better, too. I wasn't really a fan of some of the acting last season (mainly Robb and Cersei) but they've really stepped it up a notch. Even though I know in broad strokes what's going to happen, I love seeing how individual scenes will play out. I definitely think the TV series has made me care for/enjoy the characters more. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

No, I don't find it hard. The show moves at such a pace, that you really have to not be paying attention to understand what's happening. The premiere was good, did a nice job of reintroducing us to the show, and where it's headed this season. It also reminded me, I need to touch up on some of their name. Could someone quickly remind me of the boy at very ends riding away on the carts role? All I remember is that he's with the Stark girl.
