Best place to train magic in a single combat scenario

I'm going to do a mixture of slaying/bursting for charms/alching self made goods for magic exp. I'm interested in mixing up mage training a bit, so curious as to where people think the best places for single way combat magic exp is. Efficiency is not a major desire, i play at a more relaxed pace than most people do. I am P2P.

Please note i am familiar with multi combat methods so presume all questions below relate to single way combat!! Setups/invos not really needed. I also do not want advice on any other way to train (ie lunars) so please don't post for the sake of posting.

Where would be the most profitable place(s) to train magic?

Where would be the fastest (best exp) place(s) to train magic?

What is a decent mix of both?

Anyone got a list of Kuradel slayer monsters weak to magic?

Things to note:

~ I like to cycle around activities. ie Barrows for a few weeks, merchanting for a few weeks, slayer for a few weeks etc...

~ I'd like to get back in the top 500 fist of guthix players.

~ Going to be making a few thousand battlestaffs which i plan to alch. (97 craft would get me enough staffs for 94 mage...hmmm...)

~ Next level goal for magic is 94. I'm 88 currently.

~ I'm not rich (ie can't afford virtus) but i'm not poor (ie can afford arcane)

Thanks

Ice Strykewyrms, Abyssal Demons, and Metal Dragons are the only monsters of Kuradal that I know of are weak to Magic.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

equip an air staff or bat staff.

get blood runes and air wave blue dragons at the ogre place.

as long as the bots don't annoy you (there easy to out-kill and out smart  ) it can be very relaxing, and even profitable. blue dragons have low mage defence so as long as mage attack bonus is 70+ you should not be missing much.

To the OP:

By arcane - I can only assume you're speaking of the arcane stream necklace which is a DG reward?

That doesn't tell much about your cash pile/how many you're willing to spend.

I believe he means Arcane Spirit Shield.

Not totally sure about any of other your questions but according to the tip.it bestiary, the magic-weak monsters kuradal assigns are:

Black/greater/abyssal demons

Ice strykewyrms

Iron/steel/mith dragons

As far as numbers go, Fire surging monsters such as abyssal demons is fantastic magic xp, and can top 100k/hr and is typically on-par with the magic xp you get for barraging rock lobs (if not higher).

That being said, there is absolutely no reason to alch, since you could be using combat magic and get much more out of your time (not to mention potential high-earning drops and money saved by selling the battlestaves instead of alching them), so I would advise making the staves for crafting xp (assuming you want it) and just selling them straight off.

Now I know you can't use Fire Surge yet, but I can't imagine the rate being astronomically lower for Earth or Water surge.

I plan on finishing up magic fire surging abby demons and banking the ashes to break even. I got no idea if that's efficient, but it's kinda fun.
