Armored Zombies

Just about to start the Defender of Varrockr, just had a few questions for after ive finished.

1) Is it best to max out prayer gear or go for DPS boosting gear or a mix of the two when traning on Armored Zombies?

2) Ive heard that to recharge prayer one must go into the wildy, even for a few seconds, but what is the likelyhood of pkers waiting around the altar, are they common?

thats about it for now, any other information about training on the zombies would be helpfull aswell. :)

yes you go out to the wild, however an instanced version of it so no, there are no PK'ers waiting there..

I'd go for max DPS gear with some ppots, if I were in your chair.

Pray at the altar if you feel cheap P:

Is it instanced even after the quest? coz that doesnt seem right to me, why would it be instanced? i know for like 5 minutes in the quest it IS instanced, but what about after?

It's still instanced even after the quest, i just recently finished getting 97 to 99 attack there :)

Yeah, it's instanced after the quest. What you do is talk to the guy in varrock castle(Can't remember his name.. Starts with an H. He's the one that followed you there the first time) and he'll take you to the trapdoor behind the altar. This particular place is instanced, so no PK'ers. However overloads and extremes will still reset when you pray at the altar.

As for the DPS question, i believe full elite void with max str gear would be the best since an altar is right up the ladder. But for AFKability, you might want to go with a better prayer setup. Say, maybe prossy top + v skirt.

It wasn't instanced back when I was training (many months ago), when was this changed?

When the new wilderness was introduced I believe.

The best gear is elite void deflector with barrows gloves & rapier, salve amulet (e) and a bunyip or two. Don't use the altar if you have extremes.

Many months ago, you probably didn't have PKers to worry about.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.
