No one will suspect that it's a microtransaction. At all. - Making everyone in the Jagex corporate office happier by ignoring desperate pleas of help from loyal, honest, hardworking players and actually deleting the rants forum. Great move! Will definitely save valuable valuable customer service resources. - Continuing being the world's NUMBER ONE free MMORPG even though more than half the online accounts (esp. in free worlds) are bots and spammers. Those people from Guiness World Records will never know the difference. Just count those online accounts! - Having a great marketing/PR/propaganda team that brought us Free Trade and the Wilderness back with bots totally under control. And also for brining us useful merchandise like "I Pk'ed Your Mom" T-shirt and great discounts like 20% off said T-shirts. - Passing WOW on the Google search rank, especially on terms such as "botting" and "gold". A hearty congratulations! (on the eve of Jagex deleting the rants forums on RSOF and yet keeping the compliments forum, I want to offer some of my best compliments to them. Cheers!) Vandite Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 I agree that the 'Rants' Forum should not be deleted, but much of the 'Rants' Community is really putting their community in a bad light by behaving the way they're behaving on the RuneScape Forums. I don't mean to offend, but spamming up the forums and not even making sensible arguments really puts your entire community in a bad light, and makes most people stereotype the people who a part of it. That, in my humble opinion, is the biggest problem in the 'Rants' community, and that's also why many left after it's age of 'degrade'. "Stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone." I've logged into the game 10-20 times in the past year, yet I still share the topic creators opinion. The importance level of this game in my life has for a very long time flatlined at 0%. So I think your argument is invalid, seeing as I myself can feel frustration over a game I've ceased to play, albeit the frustration is on behalf of the players still playing. Personally I find acheiving a goal to be most of the fun in runescape. I don't like agility or runecrafting as such. But I do enjoy watching my skills level up. The grinding is just the hard work thats supposed to be required to get to reward at the end, which is the level up. Or whatever cape/quest/item you unlock by getting there. And to be honest, im sure im not the only one. To all your points, do they all make the game so terrible that you cant enjoy playing anymore? I have played since '01 and put in over a year of game time, yet I really don't give a [cabbage] about the game anymore. I hope it crashes and burns because of what they've done to it. When they chose to bring back Free Trade, they also chose to completely sell-out. They no longer care about bots, scammers, or bug abusers. Have you tried doing dangerous PvP lately? More likely that not, you'll meet a bug abuser. And what's worse than Jagex turning a blind eye to the cheaters is that they aren't even making an effort to fix these humongous bugs anymore. Even the quality of the quests they put out has taken a nosedive. It seems like every new quest they release is ridiculously easy and can be completed in less than an hour.
