28-Jun-2011 - Members Loyalty Programme Now Available!

Once you sign up to the programme, you will be awarded Loyalty Points for every month that you subscribe. There are some great discounts available for a limited time after the programmes release, so sign up now to get your hands on some new items immediately!

The number of points received per month will increase, depending on how many consecutive months of membership you have had without a break. Further details of how this will work can be found in the Loyalty Programme FAQ.

The points can be exchanged with the intrepid merchant Xuan, who has set up shop at Burthorpe to sell his fine wares.

The first of the new rewards are the auras, which can be equipped in an all-new equipment slot to provide a variety of effects: some are powerful; some are practical; some are simply preposterous. Ever had a fierce beast backed into a corner and wanted to guarantee that elusive killing blow? How about ensuring sure footing on agility obstacles? Perhaps youve always wanted to be able to turn your cannonballs into squid and unleash a cephalopod onslaught from your dwarf cannon. All of these, and more, can be achieved by equipping the necessary aura. The cooldown periods of these auras continue to elapse while youre logged out, so you can rely on your favourite aura being available at the most opportune time. They look pretty cool, too!

Other rewards include new costumes; a range of exotic outfits brought to you from faraway lands. There are new emotes to be learned: everything from a robust, hearty handshake to scorching, flaming breath. Members will also be able to purchase the option to re-colour their Robin Hood hat and pet rock in a variety of hues. Finally, an entirely new option to purchase in-game titles will be available. These appear in chat and when your character is clicked on in-game. Whether youre a Crusader, an Overlord or even a Duderino, theres a title for every situation.

These new items are untradeable, but should you lose any item previously acquired from Xuans store, you can obtain a replacement by simply speaking to its resourceful proprietor.

1. What is the Members Loyalty Programme?

The Members Loyalty Programme is our way of saying thanks for being a member. The concept is simple' date=' being a member earns you Loyalty Points and the longer you're a member, the more Loyalty Points you earn. The more Loyalty Points you earn the more rewards you unlock. Rewards include a vast array of new clothes, titles of nobility, brand new and exclusive emotes and, perhaps the most exciting of all, an arsenal of game play enhancing auras.

Simply sign-up and, each month that youve subscribed, youll be given Loyalty Points to spend on a great range of rewards. Well keep you up to date with any offers as well as when youve been given more points!

2. Why do I have to sign-up to take part in the Members Loyalty Programme?

Registering means that we can keep you informed of the latest offers and discounts, as well as letting you know how many points you have.

3. How does the Members Loyalty Programme work?

Each month of membership you purchase will give you a number of Loyalty Points. You will accrue more Loyalty Points for being a member for consecutive months. Simply put, the longer you are a member, the more Loyalty Points you get.

For example, a player who has been a member for 12 months consecutively will get more points than a player who purchased the same amount of time, but did not do so in one go.

Note that you are given a small grace period between membership purchases to account for problems encountered when renewing your subscription (see 7. How do my points change over time?).

4. What are Loyalty Points?

Loyalty Points are a currency used for purchasing rewards from Xuan's Loyalty Shop. Such rewards include in-game items and benefits. Re-coloured items, auras, outfits, titles and emotes are all available for purchase using Loyalty Points.

The rate at which you earn Loyalty Points is accelerated with each consecutive month that you're a member. Keep your membership for a few months and those points will soon stack up, unlocking some very cool rewards indeed.

5. Where do I spend my Loyalty Points?

Xuan is a vendor famed all over Burthorpe for two things: fighting badgers and selling some of the finest under the-counter-items in all of Gielenor. He specialises in Loyalty Programme rewards and can be found in his shop near the Warriors' Guild.

If you've got the Loyalty Points, Xuan has the goods! He's oddly fond of window-shoppers too, so if you're saving your points, feel free to check out what's on offer.

If you haven't already, Xuan will ask you to sign up for the Members Loyalty Programme on the website. Once you have done that, he will be able to show you the items and benefits he has for sale.

6. What if I lose one of the items I purchased with my Loyalty Points?

With the exception of re-coloured items, you will be able to return to the shop to regain any lost items.

With re-coloured items, you provide the item to be changed yourself so the item is lost rather than the colour. Because of this the item must be found or purchased again, and brought to Xuan to be re-coloured. You will not have to pay again: once purchased your ability to change the colour of your item is always available.

7. How do my points change over time?

As explained in 4. What are Loyalty Points?, you are given more points for consecutive months of membership. Should your membership lapse you could get fewer Loyalty Points depending on how long you leave it before re-subscribing.

If you renew your membership within 7 days your Loyalty Points will not be affected - you will continue to earn more and more points. If you do not subscribe again within 7 days of your membership ending, however, your Loyalty Points will be affected. Should you leave it for over 30 days, you will go right back to the start. You can get back to where you were again, of course, but you will need to keep your membership current and not leave it over 7 days before re-subscribing to do so.

For example: if you have paid for a 4 month subscription, but then let this lapse for over 7 days (but less than 30) then you would fall back to the amount of Loyalty Points earned in month 2:

Month Points Total Points

Month 1 500 Loyalty Points 500 Loyalty Points

Month 2 3,000 Loyalty Points 3,500 Loyalty Points

Month 3 5,000 Loyalty Points 8,500 Loyalty Points

Month 4 7,000 Loyalty Points 15,500 Loyalty Points

Month 5 3,000 Loyalty Points 18,500 Loyalty Points

If you do the same, but let your membership lapse for more than 30 days then you will return to 500 Loyalty Points for your membership purchase.

Other examples are as follows:

A player who subscribes for 6 months and then lapses for 14 days will drop back to month 4.

A player who subscribes for 3 months and re-subscribes within 7 days will not be affected and will continue to earn even more points.

A player who subscribes for 4 months and doesn't subscribe until 30+ days later will be back to the beginning.

Loyalty Points are added on the first day that you purchase membership and on that same day each month thereafter. This date will only change if you let your membership expire - no matter how long for. Then, the day your Loyalty Points will renew is on the day you add more membership.

8. Will I lose my Loyalty Points if I am no longer a member?

Once you have earned your Loyalty Points they will not be removed from your account unless they are exchanged for rewards.

9. Will there be future discounts and promotions on items?

There will be a promotion running for the first 2 weeks of the Loyalty Programme where some of the available items will have their Loyalty Point price reduced. There may be other offers introduced in the future, however. Once signed up we'll keep you informed of any future offers or discounts, as well as the points you have earned.

10. Will there be more rewards released?

The current rewards you can obtain through the Loyalty Programme are not all we have planned. Higher tier auras with increased effectiveness and even more emotes, re-colours and outfits are on the horizon.

11. How do titles work?

When you purchase a title, you are buying the ability to use that title. Buying a new title doesn't mean that you cannot use one you have already purchased again, and it does not mean that you will have to repurchase a title when you want a change.

Purchased titles will be added to a list for you to pick from, and you can change your title at any time by speaking to Xuan.

12. How do outfits work?

Outfits are purchased as a whole, not separate parts. You also get access to all of the colour options available. If you want to change your outfit colour, simply speak to Xuan to do so. You can also speak to Xuan if you lose any of your outfit pieces.

13. How do emotes work?

Buying an emote unlocks it permanently. It will be added to your emote list.

14. How do coloured items work?

As explained in 6. What if I lose one of the items I purchased with my Loyalty Points?, when you buy a colour you are buying the ability to colour a specific item, you are not buying the item itself.

To re-colour an item, bring it to Xuan and 'use' it on him: right click the item in your inventory, choose 'use' and then click on Xuan. You must have already purchased the ability to re-colour that specific item from Xuan. Purchasing the ability to re-colour an item unlocks all available colours. You can pick any colour you want from those available, and you can change your colour as often as you like.

15. How do auras work?

Auras are non-tradable items that you can equip to improve your skills, or assist you in some way. They can't be used all the time, and need time to cooldown before they can be used again.

If you destroy your aura, you can get a new one from Xuan. You will not have to pay again.

Note that you can only have one aura equipped at any one time.[/quote']

Well finally here...

Let's start buying!

Reverence aura seems nice, but it'll depend on how much the prayer drain is slowed...

Jack of Trades is just one more way to get bonus exp.

Surefooted is nice for BXPW training agility. Not falling of for 20 minutes on the highest possible course will be attractive for a lot of people wanting 75 at Ape Atoll.

I have 500 point, I can't buy anything... They said that if you'll be member when they will be relasing them, you'll be able to buy something. Cool story Jagex.

I thought there was like an emote or something that was 500 points? :P Or did I skim over it too quickly?

EDIT: SerpentEye beat me!

Quick fyi, don't activate your aura then take it off. The charge completely goes.
