Construction and Servants, and Construction

Servants need to stop interrupting me when I'm in the middle of removing or building a door. I don't care if you're telling me that you still have 14 planks on you, shut up and wait for your turn, because this door is more important.

Also, stop crying about how it's time to pay you. You know what I'm going to say, damnit! Just help yourself to the cash from my bank the next time. AND GIVE ME THE PLANKS FIRST.

Also, how many times do I have to say that this door has to go? I come in, build it and rip it out in a span of 3 seconds, tops. How many times do you want to ask me if I really want to remove it? I REALLY WANT TO REMOVE IT GOD DAMNIT STOP ASKING. AND STOP INTERRUPTING ME YOU STUPID RED ARSE I'M TELLING THIS STUPID DOOR TO GET OFF ITS HINGES.

That is all. I might turn this into a suggestion at a later date. Once I fire my butler.

They'll never get rid of the are you sure thingie on removal of funiture etc, too dangerous in terms of misclicks etc when some furnishings cost several millions to make and/or contain fairly hard to obtain items that aren't returned.

What about for worthless things like oak doors?

Remember what they did with the Drop option to stop you from accidentally dropping really expensive items?

They could make it so that when you remove the same item many times, it stops asking.

I doubt its doable in the same way for construction due to the hotspot nature; I doubt they could remove it from 1 item in a hotspot but not others; eg couldn't just make 1 throne not have it have to be all or none. At least not without a major back end overhaul.

Someone's a little crazy.

Especially when Construction's already so damn fast to train.

Seriously, fire the butler, relocate to the Yanille portal and use the bank. It's the next best option.

The simplest thing to do it not to mess around with hotspot values but to just set a simple check, that can be toggled at the Doomsayer/House Opts/whatever : If you're removing an item that ONLY requires planks to make, remove the need for a warning screen.

Training Construction is already fast enough. Removing those interruptions will just speed it up even more.

Jagex is known to speed up traditional skill training anyway, in the examples of LRC, Ivy, Kuradal and Herblore Habitat.

You missed the point of it being a rant, which is to vent rage :P (not the "insanity" meaning of craziness, so to speak)

Also, firing the butler and moving to Yanille is slower, but that's okay, because I didn't expect you to know anything about metagame. ;)

When I was training construction and waiting for the butler to turn up with my uncerted planks the instant you see him appear you can do an emote etc.. preferably a short one and the dialogue is skipped as he cannot speak to you and the planks deposited straight into your inventory unfortunately I don't know how to stop him interrupting you while building.

The dialog doesn't interrupt anything anyways. You can just ignore it.

You can't click "yes, I want to remove x item" when the dialog is there.

It also makes the construction menu go away.

The bolded bit highlights why you response is a bit stupid.

As I said I doubt they could remove it from 1 item in a hotspot but not others; meaning (for example) Throne hotspot is one item in the games eyes. Whatever throne you put in there or not its the same item just cosmetically altered, therefore it doubt they can make warning alterations to only 1 item within the hotspot.

Which renders the idea of if it needs only planks flawed as it in no way addresses the issue of the entire hotspot being seen as 1 thing by the game.

Y'know, I couldn't care less about your servant being polite, but I want my butler to shave his damn moustache! I put a shaving stand specifically in his room, as a hint, but it seems that instead he's decided to use it so he can start waxing it.

Bloody cheek.

I'm not an efficienado.

Misread your bolded part into thinking that you meant to set a value for that one hotspot specifically.

Anyway your guess to how back-end works is as good as mine. It's not hard for them to run a check prior to an action. Like for dropping objects, once the GE value check runs past a certain value, then a warning screen is displayed.

Similarly, if item being removed was only created with ID numbers 960, 8778, 8780, and 8782, why not then, hmm?
