Proud_Aussie
Id like some advice for my new account Am I Pro Yet, I've pretty much quit my level 112 to start this account from scratch. Here are my current skills as of now-Combat 321 defense, attack and strength, 60 magic, 11 hp, 1 prayer, 43 smithing 15 wc, 20 fm, 15 mining and 20 cooking. I have only funded about 2m into this account for starters and may put 30m+ when I get membership which will be soon because my banks already full. Id like to have all the requirements for Desert treasure before I train any other combat skills, so I have been super heating steel for the fairly fast magic and smithing exp but I have not been keeping track of my gains and losses and I'm pretty lazy on doing it. My method- Buy 2k+ coal 1K+ iron 1K+ natures, Super heat to steel bars- smith the bars into steel items such as kites, squares ect. Then alch the items I have smithed. I have no idea if I'm making any profit or not, thats where you guys come in, I only lose like 2gp per ore doing super heat. The items I alch range from 330-400 gp each. Buying natures around 140gp each. So if someone can calculate this and give me some advice that would be great. And Id also like some advice on profit margins for smithing cannon balls which I will be doing once I'm a member. Cheers "Kevs me best mate we do all sorts of [bleep] together like last week we went down to basshill drive in and kev was like Oi! what are all you [bleep]Heads Watchin!" Cheat
The calculations are fairly easy maths I'm sure you can manage them if you put some work into it H&A isn't just about being lazy. As to your plan it is not a particularly good one. Perhaps the magic experience is cheap but once you are a member much better magic experience can be found for not that much more expense. You are spending far too much time for no particular profit and fairly slow experience. Again with the plan about making cannonballs - cannonballs are very slow to make and will not net you a huge amount of profit an hour at only about 200-400k/hr. There are much better moneymakers even for very low levels in members you really shouldn't touch cannonballs you should sell your steel bars and make your money in a faster way e.g: picking mort myre fungi then if you need cannonballs buy them rather than make them. Your plan is like that of a DIYers and perhaps with your mentality you should consider becoming one. This is not to say I dont respect DIYers but when you are allowing yourself to trade there is no need to be this silly about it. Proud_Aussie
Thanks for your input and yet I am a "DIYer", I done a rough guesstimate and I'm not making profit, which I'm not to fussed about, I find the exp is fairly fast, I got from 1-60 mage within a day and trained 1-45 smithing at the same time. Im only looking at 50 smithing then I might consider a more profitable way to mage to 82+, And yes I should of sold my bars, didn't realize they were 780 each rofl. How on earth do you think pures with no skills manage to buy 99mage/range and stuff like claws/ags? Find me an 'honest' pure who makes the cash on that account only and ill eat my keyboard. What does being funded have to do with a DIYer? DIY are specific accounts that are accomplished with no trade - so pretend RS was a one player game.
