There's not much to do in the citadels yet. We have to wait for the build ticks.

well...haven't tried it out personally yet(not in a clan, but probably going to be soon) but it looks like the restriction placed on the citadel tier according to the number of clan members is kind of stupid, they gotta ease up on that. I mean, it makes sense that maybe a 5-man clan doesn't get access to everything and a citadel the size of varrock...but smaller clans should still not suffer that much. I mean, how many clans are there anyway with 50+ constant paying members? Not that many I bet...

Maybe it works with just being a guest visiting the citadel? Requiring to be in a clan to get the comp cape is kind of stupid imo, but you can't put it past Jagex...

Nevermind they removed all the music track now..... Hmmm that was quick!! Maybe I should complain more often I think they heard me... :grin:

I'm sure large clans are going to find this very useful, as they can use it as a starting point for events; however, for my clan of about twenty people, who very rarely do any events, this is close to pointless. I'll help the clan of course, but I'm not that excited about this update.

But you get the clan ring that gives 1.5x on surface world.

 

At 99 wc tier one wc spot gives 19k xp charge on the ring.

I wish that they sped up the ticks temporarily to give us more content right away, they did that when they had the loyalty points sale and I think that helped that program a lot. As it stands I'm basically done with this for the week, which is pretty disappointing.

"Biggest update of the year... yet" I believe was the quote from Jagex when they announced it.

 

Jagex probably considers the scale of updates based on code writing and stuff, but honestly Free Trade and Wilderness was the largest update this year to me. However, I cannot have a level opinion because I am not in a clan to experience the citadels. Also, I think an overall graphics change that seems to be coming would be huge too.

 

On a note of the citadels themselves: I half expected an advertisement to join a clan to be part of citadels like the advertisement for the Dwarven Axe update when I logged on today.

Other than you gain xp when getting the ring so in terms of overall xp gain ring probably better.

Plus arent the sc hatchets n picks kinda sucky anyway

Sums up my thoughts exactly. We simply haven't seen the whole update yet. I'm not going to pass judgement until at least seeing a Tier 4 Citadel.

 

I like the animations on the homepage background. The gentle bobbing of the little rocks, the tiny birds flying around, the cloud and light effects. Runescape now has a better homepage than most MMOs, in my opinion. The in-game graphics are shaping up well too.

It only took me 95 woodcutting resources to get the clan ring. It might be worth getting it but I didn't time how long that took me to get.

That's pretty neat. Shame you only get 200 resources or w/e to use in building.

The upkeep thing is annoying. Cutting the roots feels like more work than the rest of the things on rs. Because my clan is small my citadel will probably have no upkeep and just die <_< . At least the herald capes are cool.

I've chopped just over 400 roots, today. However in total my clan has done 49,366 of a 60,000 limit...Hopefully they hit 60k before I hit 1k! :)
