I hate to say it... but this month actually looks quite good.

Shades of Mort'on update - Easily one of the best minigames out there, yet unloved

Temple Trekking update - Lets hope it actually makes it playable

Branches of Darkmeyer - One of the better, unspoiled, quest lines getting furthered

Graphical and Audio stuff isn't an update really, if they release it as a standalone update for a week i'll be a bit cross.

I love how this is the best they can do for 99 slayers. More worthless aesthetic updates, and this one is actually quite costly. Getting 100 SW zeal takes several hours, and not everybody has an easy time with Fire Capes.

New Grand Exchange

Well, maybe that'll reduce the number of people disappearing from my screen. I never really did like the whole NYSE look.

O_o Oh god though, imagine Worlds 1 & 2 now when this update comes.

Audio Updates

Well... hopefully we don't have more awkward grunts and screams like we do now. :|

Temple Trekking

Funny enough I was just starting to play around with this activity again and thought how silly it was for some to remain so pathetic for so long after so many trips without any gain in knowledge or skill. :P This update should fix that.

Branches of Darkmeyer

o.o Is that Kethsi in the picture?

Edgeville Update

Well we saw the screenshot some time ago in the media section, so yay. :P

Additional Rewards for Minigames

O.o Good thing I didn't finish my Livid Farm spree yet. Guess I'll hold off for now.

Sounds like a nice month all round.

Temple trek update might draw me ito getting lumberjack for my completionistic nature on costume room

Theif outfit and rc outfit sound nice (I guess 2.5% xp boost same as lumber and mine, suppose might sacrific 0.2% on rc outfit for lightness boots on zmi but still nice.)

Hope the new livid farm spells are nice

The teleport item alone from new myreque quest sounds awesome, teleporting to the barrows directly ftw even if only for penguin hunting lol

Also bet the specific spells added to lunar will just be the skill type ones and perhaps some teleports (Maybe trollheim given how many ppl wanted tht for lunar farming efficiency)

so low alch hi alch superheat bones to bananas bone to peaches. telegrab, enchants possible the weaken, entangle type spells too

The only useful spells to add to the lunar spell list are combat ones. For all other spells, there's spellswaps, tabs, or just switching spellbooks. Explorer's Ring for alches too.

Does this mean I have to gain hundreds of thousands Produce Points again?

Hope not. You know, with Jagex telling us to start working on it now and everything, it'd be freaking nice if they told us how many points we'll need. Same with RC robes (altho pretty sure that place is less painful then Livid.)

Thought. No one seems to have read the "new patches" line. More herb patches? More teleports too, altho considering how useful the last bunch was... (south fally anyone?)

Also, kinda nervous about this quest tbh. A lot of Jagex's new continuing-storyline quests kinda sucked imo. They just all had a very different feel from the original quests; you really got the impression they put someone new in charge of completing the storyline.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

I'd argue alching and superheating enmass are both very useful and not easily done on lunar.

the ring is too limited and spell book swap is too time consuming and costly.

Besides lunar is all about skills and the odd combat support spell, keeping to that end having the skill spells introducable makes sense far more than combat ones do, even if they would be of more use.

looks like another lame month

At least there is some highlevel content. That pet, the hybrid armor. Even some of the new rewards might be worth getting.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

True. In my opinion tho, if you're gonna do it enmass, you might as well swap your spellbook. Still, all it'll do is help. Ignoring the time spent getting the spell.

I agree with this. The spells I'd associate with lunar magics are teleports and skill spells, plus some (semi-)defensive magic (e.g. the vengeance familiy and disrupt shield). Enchantments, b2b/b2p, alchemy familiy, maybe some regular teleports. I doubt Lunars will become much stronger in terms of combat, but definitely more convenient. I'd love to be able to stay on Lunars without losing my modern magic teleports.

This month is magnificent, I doff my hat to you, Jagex. This is the kind of stuff you should be doing. icon_thumbsu.gif

New Grand Exchange: Great. I think most of us have already seen the screenshots, and I look forward to it. :)

Audio Updates: Fine. I would think Music would be a bigger priority than the Atmospheric Sounds and Sound Effects, but why not.

Temple Trekking Rework: Woo! Looking forward to this so much. I loved the concept, but the execution was a bit dated. Jagex, it's always a good idea to revisit content and make them better, do this more often. :)

Branches of Darkmeyer: Woo! Quests are my forté, so I might be a bit biased, but it's good to see that this month's is looking strong.

Edgeville Update: I would think this would come under the Grand Exchange update since they're right next to each other, but I love graphical updates, so yay. :)

Additional Rewards for Minigames: Lots of stuff under this, I'll pass judgement when I have more detail, but all of it looks good. I wonder what that level 85 Hybrid Armour is?

I hate to say it... but this month actually looks quite good.

But think about it, none of these updates are adventurous or experimental, there's really very little capacity for disappointment, and where there is, it's not like anything of value is at risk such as in the Temple Trekking update. This is pure, solid, "Year of Upgrades" content which really can't go badly wrong.

More livid farm spells :o Gonna get very crowded again as all the maxed players try and get the completionist capes back! And finally! An update that makes Runecrafting faster!! Can't say much about the new quest though, i never have been a big fan of quests.... Sounds like a decent month.

I'll be the first person to knock on wood and hope it doesn't get similar reception to their latest quest. Everything else, at least, seems to be interesting.

Temple trekking is a few years too late.Going to wait and see what they do with the area. If the companion only gets xp if it fights it'll suck. Would be easier if it got a certain amount of xp for each successfull crossing.

I know a sheep's going to be happy.Moo.

It sounds like it levels up (or gains experience) each time you successfully complete and minigame.

Could potentially be an interesting way to gain Runecraft exp etc. as you'll be able to chose your reward. Although I doubt even then it'd be more than 30k xp an hour or whatever.
